Played here for $35 with a cart on a Saturday at the end of January, and it was well worth every penny. Course is in good winter shape. Greens roll well but are firm. Course has good character with some elevation changes, water features, and doglegs. My biggest complaint is that it seems as if they've cut back their maintenance budget because every time I play here (3 times in last 3 months) the fairways aren't cut. It'd also be nice if they leveled out a few of the tee boxes (but for $35 I really can't complain). The course is pretty short but with tight tee shots and lots of trouble. If you're a slicer beware. Hit whatever club you can keep straight off the tee. You don't need driver on most holes.

the slow play, there are some golfers however you just can't help. You were penalized at
this course for hitting fairways not a good lie out there, its a shame because it's a fun layout. Greens were bumpy and pretty quick not a good combo. I will make a drive for a course that is worth it, unforetunately the good layout and impecable customer service does not make up for the course conditions.

Played on 11/27 (at) 7:53 am. Course had tons of frost on the fairways...despite that...no frost delay. We teed off to a cool 30 degrees... Customer service was spot on...would be nice if they had working locks on their toilets and soap in their dispensers. Their cart boys actually work...and during down time, instead of picking their asses, they are sweeping leaves and hitting stray balls out of adjacent fairways next to the range. Small little clubhouse with grill attached. Conditions were very nice. Greens were smooth, medium fast and rolled true. The rough and fairways were in great shape along with fluffy sand. Course is intimidating off the tee box...as it looks very narrow...but the landing areas are more generous. Nice mix of holes with water in play on 5 to 6 holes. Pace of play was 4.5 hours despite slow 4 some ahead, but the marshals not only enforced pace of play, gave us updates as we were waiting on the tee. Here's the great part...$28 green fees including carts!!! You cannot beat this deal for this course. Check out this gem!

They have an amazing special right now for 28 bucks in order to attract people out to this place. Probably top 5 golf deals of the year. We got out Saturday at 8am and finished in a little under 4.5 despite a slow foursome 2 groups ahead. The marshals were on point all day and pushing pace along....rare these days.

The conditions today are not as great as three weeks ago. Greens were bumpy on the short holes b/c of many "wrongly repaired marks". However, these greens still beat out 75% of the courses in So Cal. The holes look tight on the tee but there are some wiggle room. Rough is definitely long and lush..must keep an eye out on the drive to ensure you can find your ball.

A gem and a must return visit. For 29 bucks, this rate is unbelievable. Eagle crest...well done.

Their scorecards do not have the new yardages or ratings for the blue tees yet. I asked about this and was told the course was recently re-rated and were waiting for those results from the SCGA. The course and greens were in really good shape. No frills here just a solid golf course for a great price. I always forget it's out there in Escondido, but every time I return the place seems to get better. My group will be back sooner especially for some of their great specials.

Once again well worth the $30 green fee I found on golf now. It's been a while since i've played here, I was impressed to see the condition of the course. I played 27 holes and the first 18 the greens were pretty slick. After some growth they were slower for our MAD Nine. I noticed new tee boxes on #8 and #17 (already open) and 4, 9 which look to open in a few monthes. New Markers were on most of the sprinkler heads. There was more grass in the fairways than I remember. The course, and surrounding mountainsides look very lush adding a special ambiance to the experience. Pace of play could have been a little better but for a public golf course, anything under 4 hrs 45 min is good. Another very good experience.

Given the high rating I was expecting a well maintained, artfully designed course. Unfortunately the entire experience was underwhelming. The tee boxes have no hole information, no distances or hole layout diagrams, neither do the scorecards. Distance markers in the fairways are few, some distances are altogether wrong as on the 17th hole which is listed at 155 but is easily 180 yards or more... baffling. I understand that courses with heavy play like Eagle Crest choose to keep the greens slow for the novice golfer, but i am beginning to tire of the unpredictability of shaggy greens. It advertises itself as a Championship course but it plays like a run of the mill municipal. Small accoutrements like wooden bridges and garden lined ponds do little to distract one from the yawn inducing layout. A course like Arrowood is the real deal, this one it seems is more of an impostor.
