First out on a warm morning. 70 degrees at 5:30am, but since we played in a little under 2 1/2 hours, we certainly beat the heat. Lots of sprinklers running on the back side, which made for an interesting challenge to avoid them. Putting a lot of water on the course, which is a good thing because they are actually beginning to get some grass in the fairways. The greens rolled really well, but because they were just soaked and not mowed, they were SLOW!. I'm sure once they're cut and dry out, they would be pretty nice. Just a lot of bare areas and spots in the rough which looked with US Open rough. But the course is improving, and that is encouraging.

Rocky in the shop is wonderful. The rate for a senior is some of the lowest anywhere. The actual layout is terrific, but you have to look past the conditions, Otherwise you will probably not have a very good time

Have not been here since November, because of the cold and rainy weather we're had. The golf course just reopened the fairways to carts, except for holes #1 & #18, The rains have really beat this place up. I do have to admit that I have never seen more grass in the fairways than now. However there are so many areas which the mowers have not been able to cut, adjacent to the fairways, finding your ball is nearly impossible, and playing it, if you do find it is even more difficult.

The tunnel to reach the first hole and to get from #9 to #10 is closed, so you need to drive on the street to access those holes. Not a big deal. The greens rolled fairly well, but since none were mowed, they were very slow. The bunkers have all but been abandoned. All are or should be GUR.

It was nice to return to Eagle Crest. Rocky in the pro shop is wonderful to deal, and the senior rate is excellent. However I would recommend you give them some time to mow and make the repairs from the rain damage.

Thankfully it was cloudy, otherwise I suspect it would have been really cold. So 47 degrees was not all that bad, considering tomorrow it is forecasted to be in the 30's. First off, so no issue with pace of play. Rocky, in the pro shop is wonderful to deal with and makes check in a pleasure. Sadly, the course is in even worse condition than when I played here in August. While the fairways are always questionable, and most of the bunkers are now designated as either GUR or closed, the greens, which have always been the "saving grace" of this course, have taken a turn for the worse. It's not just because they have not healed from the recent aeration, there are now many bare areas, and several of the greens appear too far gone to be saved. I think the bones of this course are wonderful, but conditioning, which has always been an issue, has become a concern. I fear that this course may not survive all that much longer. I hope not, because despite the conditioning, I enjoy playing here. Fingers crossed that they can turn this course around.

2nd off on a warm Monday Morning. Lots of sprinklers going on the first several holes, but at least they're watering! It appears that some of the fairways have more grass than the last time I played here, but they have a long way to go. Generally, the greens are good here, but today they were slow and really need to be rolled. Bunkers are a disaster. As is the rough and most of the tee boxes.

Despite the less than optimum conditions I continue to play here because I love the layout and the staff is terrific. Price is right and I am able to get out and play quickly, which with the current heat wave is a real positive. I remember what this course looked like when it first opened and can only wish that someday it will be that way again.

Out early to beat the forecast heat. Rocky in the pro shop is wonderful and makes coming here just all that much better. Very accommodating and efficient. Having a positive beginning is a plus even before starting your round.

Sadly, the course conditions have not improved, in fact I think perhaps they have even deteriorated further. The greens, while far and away are the best part of the course, were slow, because none were even mowed. Fairways have some areas of green grass, but mostly bare, thin, uneven ground. The bunkers have pretty much been abandoned, with most having ground under repair signs in them. Tee boxes are not level, to the point where it is difficult at times to find a decent place to stand. Coupled with bare spots and loads of divots, makes for a challenge to find any place to put your peg in the ground.

I really enjoy this course. I think the layout is terrific, but with the conditions being what they are, it just makes me sad, because I fear that this course may not have long to remain.

First out on a mild morning. Not very busy, which was nice. Rocky in the pro shop is always great to deal with and makes coming here all that much more enjoyable. Wish more golf shop personal were more like him. I have always liked this track, and despite the questionable condition, I keep coming back. Conditions today were simply not good. The greens still have not yet recovered from the aeration, so were slow and bumpy. Fairways had lots of bare areas, thin areas, thick spots, etc. Same with the rough. You never knew what you'd get. Tee boxes were awful. Greenside bunkers were in many cases "small lakes". Those that were not filled with water had plenty on sand but appear not to have been raked since ....... forever. I see so much potential in this course if someone would spend the $$ to restore it to where it once was. However, if that happened, I'm sure it would become super crowded and over priced, so be careful what you wish for

Greens were in decent shape. Had very good coverage and receptive. Ran at about medium slow, but very bumpy from the seeding Poana. Traps were weed filled hard pan depressions. Tees were very chewed up and mostly uneven. Pace was a little above 4 hrs. Per usual the greens were the best part of the course. The rest was the worst I've ever seen it. It is still very playable and a good track. It often improves as spring rolls around and the grass grows a little better. If you can find a good deal, you can still have fun. A tough recommend at this time.

Since I play almost all my golf first thing in the morning, I am accustomed to playing in the cold during this time of year, but this morning it was 33 degrees. Now that's just too cold even for me. Aside from the fact that the ball goes NOWHERE at those temperatures, it's just really difficult to get even a little loose at those temps. The greens were very slow (They did not mow the greens ) but they were very wet, so I suspect they watered them to save them from frost? Portions of the fairways had nice coverage, but still a lot of thin and bare areas. Rough was inconsistent. Bunkers were a mix of unmaintained sand or thin. Tee boxes were not good. All that said, I enjoy playing here because I can usually get out early, the price is right, the staff is excellent, particularly Rocky, and most important I think the "bones" of the course are wonderful. This course could be oh so good if it were in great condition, but until then I'll continue to patronize it for the reasons previously mentioned.

First out at 6am on a very cold (38 degrees) morning. They had put a lot of water on the course, so everything was really wet. Still bare areas in the fairways. Rough ranged from thin to US Open thick, just depended where the ball finished. Almost every tee box needed to be leveled. The greens were far and away the best part of the course. While they rolled well and were very receptive, they were much slower than usual.

The staff here is always fantastic. Rocky was on duty this morning and he is a pleasure to deal with. I play this course because I love the layout. If it were based only on course condition, I would pass, but the "bones" of the course are so good, I force myself to overlook the questionable conditions.
