Played yesterday, Sunday, Dec 8. 7:10am teetime. My buddy Jeff booked it online and somehow got a decent rate of $75 to walk. Course is in overall playable to good condition. Nothing outstanding, but no huge complaints other than some dead spots and some overly wet fairways. POP was outstanding! 4hrs straight up, no waiting and nobody pushing us.

Teeboxes were level, but a little shaggy. Not a big deal. Easy to find a good spot to tee it up.

Fairways were the lowlight. Lots of GUR that wasn't marked off. Some of them had dead patches, dirt patches and wet patches that weren't marked, couple of bad lies in a few fairways, but the rest of them were decent.

I was in one fairway bunker and it was just fine. Didn't hit from any of the greenside bunkers, but they looked good.

Rough not penal at all, just about an inch longer than the fairways, so not a big deal.

Greens held shots very well. Definitely the highlight. They putted smooth for the most part and were slow in the morning dew, but sped up when they dried out.

Customer service just fine. Saw the beverage cart once, but I BYOB, so no big deal. Guys in the proshop and the starter were all good. No complaints on the service.

It's a fun track to play every once in a while. I enjoy walking and it's an easy walk. There's a couple of stupid holes, but all in all a good layout, just no "wow" factor. Very conveniently located. Recommend to play a couple times a year, but try and get a decent deal.

Played 9/14/24 10:30 POP 5:15 Course is in decent to good condition. Fairways mostly green with a hodgepodge mix of grass. Some bare and GIR areas mixed through out. You can get good lies and bad lies in the middle of the fairway. Greens were in decent shape. Some blooming Poana caused some wobbly rolls. Receptive and ran at a medium pace. Practice green was really fast, course greens about half the speed. A very busy and slow pace day. Green fees a little on the steep side for what you're getting, but the course is in good enough shape to have fun.

Played Riverwalk this morning with a 7:30 AM tee time. This was my first time playing here and the short version is, the course is ok but I don’t know if I’d play it again. Not because the course was that bad condition or layout wise, it’s just that it was average all around and for my once a year trip to San Diego, there are better courses at similar price points that I’d rather play.

Greens are fine. They rolled smooth at a medium pace. I had a completely different experience with the fairways than Long4par. Most of the fairway areas I was in were thin and patchy. Layout wise, the course had a number of water features and forced carries so that was good. Again. If I lived in the area, I’d put it in the rotation but for me, it’ll be a few years before I play it again

Played Riverwalk for the first time in a few months. I was pleasantly surprised with the conditions. Most impressive was most of the fairways were not roped off. Usually, a good number of fairways are roped off and inaccessible with a cart. I think I only saw 2 fairways closed off.

Tee boxes were in good shape with it easy to tee up and hit. Fairways were in some of the best shape I have seen them in. There were a few brown spots, and you can see they punched the fairways a few weeks ago. Overall, they were lush and firm with a good amount of roll on well struck tee shots. Fairway bunkers were raked and a little wet, but I played early morning. Greenside bunkers were also nicely raked and a little wet but still very playable. Greens were in great shape with only 1 hole showing lots of ball marks. Ball rolled well at a medium to fast pace.

Overall, I must say the course is probably in the best shape I have seen it in years. If you can find a good deal I would suggest playing.

Played yesterday, Sunday, Feb 25. 7:20am, $73 to walk. POP was awful, 5hrs. Group in front of us had two beginners and they were super slow.

Course as expected was very wet and soggy except for the greens, they were fairly dry and unusually hard, especially with all this rain we've been having. Fairways were very wet, we had to play lift clean and place due to mud. Other than that, they were in decent shape.

Rough was brutal in most spots, super thick and long. Most of the time you had to just shop it out with a short iron.

White tees were wet and weren't in very good shape, had to take some extra time to find a good spot to tee it up.

Bunkers were not in very good shape. People have neglected to rake them.

Greens were in good shape. They were a little on the hard side and provided a little more roll than expected. They rolled true and were pretty quick. Definitely the highlight.

Saw the beverage cart once. Customer service in the proshop was just fine. It's a fun course, has a lot of good holes, a couple of clunker holes (number 2 and 3 not a fan). I recommend at least once a year.

Greens in good shape. receptive. Running medium pace and only a little bumpy. Was in a couple of traps and both were good. Noticed a few are firm. A couple of the Tees were set in very uneven spots. Very curious? Overall in very decent to good shape.

Played Riverwalk today in the morning. Went out as a single behind a three-some. No waiting and no one behind me, finished in about 3:15. Course was in good shape. Some tee boxes were beat up but still playable. Fairways were ok. Looked like they were getting ready to overseed. Most played ok, a few times I had to move my ball to find a green spot. Sand was very nice. In a couple of bunkers and looked like new white sand. Pretty soft and thick. Greens were very good. They played fast, probably the fastest I have seen at Riverwalk. Course is very walkable and has some fun holes. If you get the chance you should play it.

Played Riverwalk Wed 8/25. Walked out as a single, 11:00am & was paired with a volunteer Marshall, nice lady. later joined by another single. POP was nice. Tee boxes are fine. Fairways are mostly good, although they were re-sodding parts of a few. Rough was mix of long grass & some bare areas. Typical muni in that respect. Greens were good, rolled well, med speed. Bunkers were mix of some really nice new looking sand & some harder packed dirt/sand. Overall very playable for a decent rate (senior 60!) Lots of water keeps it interesting. I rode, but it is walkable. Now 18 holes, last time played a few years ago was 27 holes. I recommend, it was fun.

A little late on the review but played Riverwalk on Monday. Course is in good playable shape. Not much has really changed since my last review. The one thing I noticed was the amount of stakes and ropes in the fairways. Riverwalk always has lots of fairways roped off, but this day seemed to be more.

Like I mentioned before not much of a change from my last review. If you get a chance you should play.
