Course is in fair to good shape. Fairways were a little muddy from the rains, but still played fair with decent coverage.
Greens were very soft, so there were many foot prints on the greens which altered a few putts. But were mostly in fair to good shape.
Didn't find any traps and Tees were in decent shape.
A fun course in decent shape if you can find a good discount.

Some (11&12) had many bad spots. Lots of foot prints on the greens, but they putted much better than they looked.
Receptive and ran at around medium quick.
fairways not bad. Some hard and dry areas but played very fair with descent lies.
traps firm and tee boxs fair.
They appear to be continuing the upgrading of the course.

Course is coming around nicely. The greens were very receptive to shots and rolled fairly well. Still recovering from the aeration but in a couple more weeks they should be just fine, maybe very good if they continue to improve on their effors. Tee boxes were still being worked on and will need a week or two to be nice. Didn't notice it too much, but in a few more weeks, the overseed should be complete and they will be perfect, nice and level. The fairways are still going through major reconstruction with new sod in a lot of places, especially the front nine, but did not have many bad lies in the fairways at all, very playable but they were soft so the drives were not rolling out, in fact had a couple of drives that actually checked up and backed up a foot. Sand traps seemed very nice and always seemed to play fair, I didn't find any, but my playing companion was in a few and he didn't complain at all and got up and down once for a costly sandy, ouch.

All in all, they are doing some extensive work to this track and it is starting to show. I'm just hoping they will offer a good stay and play package through the casino hotel. Should be in tip-top shape in a few more weeks. Nice new carts with club scrubbs and coolers on board.

finally got out toenjoy the course, they are fully opened on both nines. They are doing a lot of work on the course which is comforting to see. Looks like they are putting some money into it and it will be real nice once they get everything done. Nice new with coolers and ball/club scrubber on the rear fenders, I love those things. Greens on the front were still recovering from the aeration done a couple of weeks ago, the back nine greens are almost fully recovered and are very nice. All greens are holding shots incredibly well, stuck a four wood on number 5 and stopped on a dime, then I 4-putted on the aerated greens, but oh well have to laugh. The fairways are having extensive work done with new sod and are playin as GUR, but when they get all that done, the fairways will be real nice. the teeboxes were nice also very level and nice and green, a little fluffy but lush. Overall, very enjoyable. Had an Underpar deal for 2 golfers for 58$ and there was nobody playing cuz of football Sunday, so my buddy and I played 27 holes in about 5 hours. No beverage cart and they sell beer out of a little fridge in the proshop still, so load up before you tee off and at the turn and bring your own snacks. Cant wait to get back there in a few more weeks and I hope they continue improving the conditions of this nice layout. The back nine is SICK.

just a quick heads up, I wanted to play here this coming weekend and went to their website after checking GKer for reviews, of course, and discovered that they are doing some major maintenance, which is great. Love this course and layout and glad to see the Indian Tribe putting some money into it. But apparently half the course will be closed for the month of September. They closed the back nine on the 2nd thru the 16th and then will close the back nine the remainder of the month. That was information I read through their website so check for yourself and let us know if it's otherwise.

Played 8/16 - 10:40am tee time. * course in a pretty secluded area in Valley Center, quiet country setting with bird feeders all over the place (I know about the bird feeders because the wife was obsessed with taking pictures of each and every one) * Tee boxes - decent but at times overgrown * Fairways - mostly thin, and just like most courses that are suffering from the drought. * Rough - okay in most spots, a little "patchy" in some areas. * Bunkers - really good in most, a little thin in a small majority. * Greens - noticed a sad infection on #14 that is really hurting that green, but for the most part the greens were okay....a lot of ball marks. *carts - have no gps, but have cooler and ball/club cleaner *staff - friendly and we saw the cart gal several times through out the day *Pace - about 3 hours our first round, closer to 4.25 on the 2nd round due to catching up with a group on hole 13 that slowed us down. Overall, considering the drive for us, I would probably wait until the fairways improved before I would go back out there.....just a little to dry and thin for my taste. we need it to rain....bad!!!!

Very nice challenging track out in the country. We played a midday round here and had a lot of fun. The course has plenty of trouble on it and depending on your tee choice it's more than long enough. We found the pace of play fast and the staff very nice. Off the fairways the course is a bit bare but not bad. I would go here again in a heartbeat

The early summer like temperatures are showing their handy work. Fairway's are a mixed bag of green grass & brown/dead grass with a few burnt/dirt areas mixed in. Some areas are just fine and a few areas are rock hard. Most of my T shots found decent to good grass.
Greens were in good to very good shape. They rolled decent, but had a mix of speeds and receptiveness. Some of them had a heavy mixture of seed tassels with seemed to slow the putts down.
T's & bunkers were fine.
Over all I'd say it is in fair to good shape and still a fun course to play.
