Played new course for the first time yesterday 5/13. Course plays 2-3 strokes tougher than old course from the back tees. Greens were slow but were pretty well maintained. Some areas around the greens needed work(bare spots). Fairways were in pretty good shape also. Holes #8, 15,16 and 17 are tough holes. Greens seemed to be smaller targets than old course. Will be back for sure.

Played 4/2. First time with the new layout. If you're not single digit, or can't hit a drive over 280, don't even think about playing the tips. The card says 6,700 yards, but it plays longer. Especially with the wind. If you want to experience the old course distance, play the white tees.I really do like the new layout, but it's probably going to be a while before this course is really ready. The potential is fantastic, but I would give it a while for all the new areas to grow in better.

With the length of this course, I can see the potential of small PGA events (qualifying rounds, mini tours, Q-school, etc.) happening here. Have fun!

I played the recently remodeled Soule Park Golf Course yesterday and IT IS FANTASTIC!!! What a great remodeling job done by Highland Golf who took over the lease for this course last year after all the storm damage. Don't miss playing the new layout that has added all new greens, tees and plenty of bunkers. Four sets of tees on each hole make this a fun golf venue for everyone. This course is now destined to become one of Ventura County's finest.

One of my favorite courses. Very well maintained, friendly people and difficult holes. Beautiful suroundings and decent places to eat after the round is over.

The course is being completely redone. It is open but playing with about 12 temporary greens and a few moe par threes than normal. That said the course was in great shape when I played it last saturday. I paid thirty something to ride and was given a free replay. There was nobody on the course. I mean maybe two other groups on the full 18. The first round took a little over 2 hours. To summarize: I played 56 holes on a Saturday with a cart for 30 some odd dollars. It was a lot of fun to be out there feeling like we owned the place and the construction/renovation hardly affected any of my shots. The temporary greens are better than the permanent greens on most Muni's. It was a great day of golf. Oh yeah, the customer service was incredible...The lady in the beer cart even offered to run my credit card up at the clubhouse because I had no cash.

Great public course, however played a week ago and was not told about work on the course due to rain damage. finding the holes was very confusing. I will go back when work is completed

Soule Park great public venue. A very good value for the money. More water and fertilizer on the fairways in summer would improve overall conditions. Lots of storm damage recently but the management is doing all it can to accomodate customers. Try the great burgers in the restaurant.

Put a little effort into growing some real rough, better sand traps, and maybe do a little course adjustments (especially growing some grass on the driving range), this would be the best bargain in town. Pretty course, simple and straightforward.
