Played on Sat 16th in afternoon. Course is in OK shape, typical of Fall/Winter conditions, boxes OK, fairways uneven and a few bare spots, greens in good shape however, traps generally good shape. Beautiful setting and a challenging course from the tips with wind, but high handicappers can get around reasonably well except for a few carries over brush. Excellent value - nice re-do on the course like what they have done with greens and traps.

I grew up playing this course but hadn't played it since the redesign. The new course is great; it is much more challenging than the old course but with 4 sets of tees it's fair for any level of play... Continue »

Played yesterday (10/14), greens were sanded and punched, stay away for at least 2 weeks, tee boxes were not cut(but were very green and lush and looks like they are getting fairways into better shape... Continue »

Played yesterday (10/14), greens were sanded and punched, stay away for at least 2 weeks, tee boxes were not cut(but were very green and lush and looks like they are getting fairways into better shape. Plyaed an enjoyable 3 hour 40 minute round as a 2-some.

Soule Park continues to be the best public golf venue in Ventura County. What a difference a year makes -- Mark Wipf and his team have transformed this course from a mundane track into a beautiful and challenging golf course. And now they are doing what it takes to keep it in great shape. My scores in this review reflect the current conditions of the course as they dethatch and renovate the fairways and tee boxes in anticipation of the cooler winter weather in the Ojai Valley -- something that was always lacking in prior years. If you haven't played this course since it was remodeled you have missed out on a real golf treat!

played sat 9/30, greens were slow and pins were in some really tough places, it cost everybody in our group at least 2-3 strokes before the day was up(severe back and front pin placements on severe slopes). Tees were being re-done on mostly every hole. Pretty decent pace for Sat(finished in 4 hours 20 minutes.) Fairways were OK, course is a great challenge from the tips(#7,8,14,15 and 17).

Soule Park is in the best shape ever! Recently aerated greens and longer than normal grass on the greens (probably because they are trying to save them from the heat) made putting a challenge (but isn't that always the case?). The staff member who took our tee time forgot to record it but the starter got us out anyhow. Great course!!!

Played twilight today with buddies. Greens were long and slow, balls were not getting to the cup and some balls were zig zagging, not to many ball marks on greens but the staff needs to cut them. Fairways and tees were in a little worse shape than when I played here in May. Still a fun challenging course that is worth the money. I hope that the put the money and effort up in maintaining this course(greens and fairways) I would hate to see it turn into a Camarillo Springs or Los Robles
