Played 18 on 9/20/18 with our regular foursome. Soule is in the best condition I have ever seen it! (I've been playing there for over 30 years). If you haven't been there in a while....GO! You will love it!

Played with regular foursome today and, to a man, they said they would not play here again until they get the course in better condition. Fairways are sanded, punched, overseeded, wet and roped off everywhere you turn. I played here over one month ago and these conditions existed then. I wish I would have checked the conditions out before booking the tee time here for this week. There was NO MENTION of these conditions on the phone when I call for the tee time, and there was NO OFFER to reduce the green fess for these terrible conditions.

Sterling Hills Management can't decide if they want to encourage Seniors to play their course or not. They advertise "Seniors Day" on Tuesdays and then tell you when you arrive that the advertised greens fees don't include a cart and that carts are mandatory. When you advise them that you prefer to walk they advise you that the walking greens fee is only $3.00 less than the "riding fee". While the course is in excellent condition (and a fun track to play) I doubt that our foursome will return until there is a more welcoming attitude forthcoming from Sterling Hills management.

Soule Park continues to be the best public golf venue in Ventura County. What a difference a year makes -- Mark Wipf and his team have transformed this course from a mundane track into a beautiful and challenging golf course. And now they are doing what it takes to keep it in great shape. My scores in this review reflect the current conditions of the course as they dethatch and renovate the fairways and tee boxes in anticipation of the cooler winter weather in the Ojai Valley -- something that was always lacking in prior years. If you haven't played this course since it was remodeled you have missed out on a real golf treat!

Played after the overnight early season rain and the course couldn't have been better. I love playing this course. The atmosphere is very conducive to playing a good round. The pro shop staff is one of the best around.

Don't bother going to Moorpark CC for at least 3-4 weeks. They just stripped and punched the fairways on the Ridgeline and Canyon Crest courses...and the Creekside course is closed for major construction. The Ridgeline/Canyon Crest run is "cart paths only" and you have to walk through acres of mud and unremoved plugs in the fairways to get to your ball. On more than one hole I was 6 inches taller from mud on the bottom of my shoes when I arrived back at my cart after negotiating the path to my ball. The greens and tees were in excellent condition. I wish the pro shop would have advised us of the course conditions when we booked the tee time and it was too late for us to go elsewhere with our guests from out-of-town when we arrived at the course. The very least they should have done would have been to significantly reduce the green fees for these conditions. The course should be back to "fighting weight" in about 3-4 weeks -- in the meantime go elsewhere.

Soule Park is in the best shape ever! Recently aerated greens and longer than normal grass on the greens (probably because they are trying to save them from the heat) made putting a challenge (but isn't that always the case?). The staff member who took our tee time forgot to record it but the starter got us out anyhow. Great course!!!

I played the recently remodeled Soule Park Golf Course yesterday and IT IS FANTASTIC!!! What a great remodeling job done by Highland Golf who took over the lease for this course last year after all the storm damage. Don't miss playing the new layout that has added all new greens, tees and plenty of bunkers. Four sets of tees on each hole make this a fun golf venue for everyone. This course is now destined to become one of Ventura County's finest.

I can't imagine how these greens ever got in such bad condition -- they are horrible!

Soule Park great public venue. A very good value for the money. More water and fertilizer on the fairways in summer would improve overall conditions. Lots of storm damage recently but the management is doing all it can to accomodate customers. Try the great burgers in the restaurant.
