Two weeks later and the course is still in good shape. $52 on a weekend is still a little steep. Got off 15 minutes late on a scheduled 8:00 am tee time and the round took 5 hours. I think there was a small tourney ahead that slowed things down.

Played on July 31 as a seven-some. Ok, a foursome and threesome. Pace of play was pretty good for a Saturday morning. Course was in typical Soule Park condition. Fairways are never 'lush' due to the type of grass. Greens were in their usual good shape. Smooth, medium-fast and consistent through all 18 holes. All in all, a nice course, moderately priced and easy to score well on. A tip for #7, play your second shot into the 2nd fairway on the right, and you'll get a nice look into the green instead of worrying about the big oak tree on the right of the 7th green.

As others have posted, nice layout at Soule Park. Course is pretty wide open, but there are some holes that require some thought. Greens were soft and a little bumpy, yet they seemed consistant. I was surprised in that I did NOT see too many unrepaired ball marks. Some hard pan in the fairways and can't tell the fairway from the rough. $52 with a cart on the weekend.... plus the long drive... I am not too sure it holds up in comparison to River Ridge ($50), Elkins Ranch ($42), Olivas Park ($45), etc...

A tee shot in the range of 275-290 leaves either an awkward lay up before the barranca or a gutsy move in going for the green in 2. All other holes play pretty much straight up. What you see is what you get.

played a glacially slow weekend round here. beautiful setting at the base of the foothills. the layout has four or five really good holes (especially the longer par 3s). it also has a few awful holes. the 9th hole is quizzical. the use of trees on this course is not very well thought out. the greens were moderate speed but a bit bumpy (typical muni greens). i couldn't tell the rough from the fairway, had a real dog-track feel. i felt like the course was 10 or 15 dollars overpriced at 52 bucks -- but then i play rustic mainly so i'm spoiled.

I love this layout and the setting is perfect. Its quiet (except for on number 9 with the adjcent dog pound) conditions aren't great, but hey its winter, most of the country can't play golf right now... Continue »

Give it two months and "The Park" will back to its great self.

I had not played this course in a long time and I had a great time. The course was in good shape. Teed off at 8:00 was done at 12:10 never waited for a shot.Was worth the trip will be back soon.

Played this course this past Labor Day weekend. Course was in fantastic shape and a pleasure to play. Staff was great and pace of play was excellent. Always an enjoyable time here at this course.
