I played this course about 5 years ago and vowed once I walked off 18 that I would never return. I should have kept my promise. Tee boxes were a joke...either sloped, covered in divots or fluffy grass, similar to the rough. Greens were bumpy - like playing Plinko on The Price is Right. Fairways were OK, but lots of brown spots. Sand traps are reminiscent of the cart paths (if the lip isn't too severe, the putter is a good bet). There are much better tracks around here for the same price.

The pro shop staff thinks they're smarter than they really are..and some can be pretty cocky. They need to be reminded that they are working at a muni course - so everybody that comes thru the door is a member. In a nutshell, the customer service blows, but its a good track for the price.

More than one time I have been a single and watch two or three threesomes go off the first tee.

If ou're walking it's a royal pain in the but to get a yardage. About the only markers out there are some 150 bushes. The carts have GPS, but if ou don't spring for the cart, bring your "feel" game.

Get out early before the hacks hold up pace of play on the $1 skins games.

Perhaps I'm partial, because Soule Park sets up so well for my game. The course is in great shape. #7 still gives me fits. A tee shot in the range of 275-290 leaves either an awkward lay up before the barranca or a gutsy move in going for the green in 2. All other holes play pretty much straight up. What you see is what you get.
