Played course for the first time this weekend. Unfortunately it was also the first for my foursome. Even more unlucky was the heavy fog early in the round that had us all standing on the tee box guessing the direction of the fairways. The course conditions were on par with the prices we paid. Friendly staff. Greens were smooth and true but deceptively slow. There were some nice looking holes on the back 9. With all the tight and undulating fairways the Course reminded me of the old Cascades in Valencia. I found myself with several hanging lies from the fairways. Our group had a pretty fun time though. Overall I recommend the place, it seems like the kind of place where local knowledge can go a long ways to improving my score. I'd like to play it again if I can find a discounted rate somewhere.

Played the course the morning after Christmas with a 7:00 tee time. Called the course on the way due to the ice on the ground in Thousand Oaks as was told they were having a frost delay and to not worry about getting there till closer to 8:00. Upon showing up got checked in and told that the greens were becoming ready to play and that they would be getting groups out shortly in a mini shotgun format so that things wouldn't be slowed down for the groups with later tee times. I thought that was a great idea. They also gave everyone that got delayed a coupon for the snack bar/ restaurant so that showed some great customer service as far as I'm concerned. Once we finally teed off the course was in great shape and seemed to have drained nicely from the weather that we have had lately. Fun layout with some forced carries. I will be back again to play in the future.

Played Tierra Rejada today and the service was excellent pro shop staff was very friendly. The golf course was in excellent condition for winter time. The greens were perfect running over 11 as far as their speed. Bunker sand was excellent as well. played in less then 4 hours in ideal weather conditions. The GPS on the carts came in very handy.

Played Sunday morning 11/23.We teed off a few minutes behind, but not too big of a deal. The tee boxes were a little uneven, but the course was in overall good shape. A few spots were under repair, which seems normal given the time of year. A few complaints, get a cart girl on the weekends, I didnt see one the whole time and I was getting thirsty. Second, dont let 5 somes out on a weekend when there is a ton of people waiting to tee off. Third, those GPS need an upgrade, you cant read the screen if the sun is in your face or if your wearing polarized glasses and they are just not what you would expect from a course at this price range.

Man what a day. First impressions were ok, the starter was kinda short but tolerable. The range area was nice, grass was decent. Now onto the course, some pretty awesome shots you got to make. Greens were in great shape, fast (they had it listed as an 11 on the stimp), but they were soft and had a couple of my balls land and stick in my ball mark. The only hole i have to disagree on is #8, I couldnt figure out what club to hit. To be safe I hit a 3 iron, hit it perfect, and straight, yet still went through the fairway. There is no way to determine how far it is from where because of the elevation change. I must have hit my 3 iron about 280 yards, normally 235 or 240.. It was just a wacky hole.. Other than that, it was great. Like was said earlier, if you are known to spray them, bring atleast a dozen.. Tee shots are very demanding.. I would rate it a B course..

Have to say an overall pleasant day despite some obstacles...I mean you shouldn't be penalized for drives that i feel are right down the fairway yet find them somewhere else(still looking for them!)..... Continue »

Have to say an overall pleasant day despite some obstacles...I mean you shouldn't be penalized for drives that i feel are right down the fairway yet find them somewhere else(still looking for them!)...hard enuf w/ very little margin for error...the greens here are also key in that you better know what 1/2 the green you want your ball to land, otherwise you better bring your A game to putt..however they are true & fun to putt, don't know why but I always putt great here & thankfully so or else i'd be shooting in the 90's.Again, stay in the fairways here or you'll be punished.

First time here and I was impressed with the weather in Moorpark. The course has great amenities and nice practice range ($5 for good size small bucket), and practice putting green that gives away the nice views of the course and surrounding areas.
The fairways are lush and the rough is easy to get out of. It's hard to judge the direction of the wind as it swirled all over the course and difference in elevation made it a bit confusing to get the right yardage. The trick, and the only trick here is to hit your drive straight. Once you are on the green, unlike Lost Canyon, you find yourself making putts. The speed of the green however is slow and I found myself fixing ball marks all the time.
Many par-4s should be used the most with 3-wood off the tee.
Overall, the course is in very good condition and offers tremendous enjoyment. Definitely we will return. Soon.

Oh, they also have a cute cart girl.

The course is in good condition and well maintained so no real complaint there, however I felt my day would've been better spent if I handed by buddy $80 and asked him to beat me with my pitching wedge. This is not the place to go to have an "off" day. It will make you question why you took up golf. That being said those around me seemed to enjoy it.
