Played on Thursday, 2/7. Walked into the pro shop around noon, and was on the 1st tee solo by 12:30. Caught a 2some at 8, and finally joined them at 15 as they were stacked on the tee box. Finished in just over 3 hours. Course is very good condition for the cold wet winter Vegas has experienced. Tee boxes do need some leveling, and there was some divot damage, but good spots to tee it up. Fairways were firm and green, with very little amounts of thin areas. Rough was cut just a shade longer than the fairways. Bunkers looked decent. Greens were very nice, fast and smooth. I really enjoy the Palm course. Not very long, plenty wide, and not terribly difficult, but very fun to play. 5 par 3s, with 2 over water and 2 over canyons, and 3 par 5s, all reachable with great back to back shots.

Played Monday, 9/17, about 10:30, as a nice recovery round with John_T.

Just a week or so out of tee to green (including rough) reseeding, course is cart path only, so be prepared to wait and walk. Mountain is in reseeding now so Palm is the only course going for another week or so.

Conditions were very good. Rye has took very well with a few areas where the seedlings are still coming through. At least 80% lush grass, a bit long for now, but very playable. Greens slightly longer than fairway. Greens were running a bit slower than usual and a few had some spots of very thin areas.

Outside of the all the walking (of course I hit to the opposite side of the cart path EVERY TIME), I had a great time. Paired up with some guys visiting from Chicago, paid $35 with OB card. Worth it.

Played AP Palm on Friday, 8/3. Walked in at 1:50, on the tee at 2, in the car before 4:30, playing through a 4some on 2 and stalking a 2some from 7 in, all for $22 with the OB Card. While the snack shack at #8/#10 was closed, saw the drink cart 3 times through the round. Course was in summer conditions. Tee boxes were pretty good. Fairways had thin/brown spots but mostly covered with some run, only found a soggy spot in front of #1. Rough was about 2 inches, just enough to cause some issues. Bunkers were crusty up top, with some monsoon rains this week followed by high temps. Greens were spectacular. Slightly slower than they looked, but receptive and smooth. For $22, it was a steal but it was an August afternoon in Vegas. Course was playing great.

Played Friday, 6/22, 2nd round of 36 at AP. Teed off about 11:15 after a good meal in the grill. Paid $20 replay rate. Finished in just under 3:30, taking our time as a large group went out about 30 minutes earlier. Caught them on 17 but no issues before that.

Course conditions were slightly lower than Mountain. Tee boxes were in good condition. Fairways were firm, with thin areas popping up. Rough is at a minimum, just long enough to define the fairway. Bunkers were in good shape. AP has upgraded the sand on both courses, slightly heavy with a minimum amount of stones. Greens are coming out of punching 3 weeks ago. #1 was beat up, but the rest were ok, a little firm and medium speed.

Palm is a very fun course to play. A little short, we played the blues (67.6/114, 5856 yards) and found a few tees pushed back and a some tournament style hole placements I've never seen before, made a few holes play 20-30 yards longer than normal.

Played this past Friday on a beautiful sunny day with hardly a breeze. This was my first time here, and I left satisfied, if a little disappointed. The tee boxes were great, the fairways too, and the rough was barely over fairway height. The bunkers were very firm, which was great if you were in a fairway bunker; greenside, not so much. The greens are where my disappointment mainly lies. They were super firm, with balls not leaving a mark...which I can deal with. They were very fast...which I love. However, there were many, many random bumps and unseen irregularities which made it nearly impossible to choose a line and execute a good putt. The course is beautiful, and the hundreds of funny little chipmunks running around made for some amusement, but the greens soured what could have been an epic day. I'm hoping they are able to smooth those greens out, I'd enjoy another crack at this one.

Played on Black Friday, 11/24, with a 9ish tee time, paid $35 thanks to a 25% off offer John_T had. Busy pro shop and range (and 80* Vegas weather) made me think I was in for a long round, but made it around in just under 4 1/2 hours.

1st time on Palm since the re-seeding in September. Course is doing well. Tee boxes need some work, quite a few uneven stances, particularly on the Par 3s. Fairways are in great shape, total coverage with no thin or brown areas. Rough was short, about 1-2 inches, just enough to slow the ball down and define the fairways. Bunkers were not great. Pebbles/stones in the 2 I was in, both were pretty thin, typical Vegas bunkers. Greens were outstanding. A little on the firm side, but fast and smooth.

Both courses have done well out of the reseeding, and the greens have been in the best shape that I can remember.

Played 08/08 from the Blue's 5,856 yards. I thought the course was in good shape. Some of the tee boxes on the front I thought were chewed up a little, but the back nine was good. Fairways were in good shape, the rough wasn't long but my ball sat down in it. The greens I thought were soft and very slow. Customer service was great. The only downside was the divot fill bottles in my cart were both empty to start you round. There was a spot to get more bottles but it was empty also

I was actually able to finish Mountain and check back in a few minutes ahead my 11:57 tee time on Palm. I took some time before teeing off, though, because there really was no rush and I wanted to grab a dog from the snack bar first. I booked this time through TeeOff as a deal time for $30. I played through a couple groups on Palm, but it was also pretty wide open and I finished in about 2 hours.

I would say Palm is in slightly better condition than Mountain, primarily because it is fully transitioned to summer bermuda. It's a little lighter in color and there are some more light brown streaks throughout the fairways and rough, but the playability is more consistent. There are still some thin spots scattered throughout, though, so it's far from pristine. Overall, the tee boxes, fairways and rough were all in pretty good mid-summer condition. The greens are a bit firmer on this side, but still pretty receptive and rolling at medium speeds. I was in one bunker and it was typical crappy Vegas sand—a bit thin and rocky.

The first few holes of Palm are kind of boring, and then you cross to the other side of the street where the majority of the course is situated. Everything on this side of Summerlin Parkway is much more interesting. There are some good holes here, though I wish I had some local knowledge on a few of them (most notably tee shot angle/strategy for holes 6 and 9). After you finish on the other side of the street, you finish off with a handful of holes that are just OK with the exception of 17, which is a nice par-3. I found about 2/3 of this layout to be quite enjoyable and the the other third just so/so, which is why I would personally pick Mountain as a more compelling 1-18 layout (Mountain is also much more scenic and visually attractive). I do know a lot of people prefer Palm, though, so to each his own.

Played Saturday, 7/29, with a 9ish tee time with John_T. Paid $36 with the OB card. Course was busy hosting the 2nd day of a tourney on the Mountain course, having played Palm yesterday. Fast check in, grabbed a cart, and off to the matted range. Starter paired us up and off to the 1st, where we got started about 10 minutes late. Round lasted 4 1/2 hours, with the group 2 head falling a hole behind by 9. Marshall let us know, but didn't move them along. Worse part was only seeing the drink cart once on each 9, but the snack shack around the 7-10 triangle was open.

Conditions were almost great for the dead of summer. Tee boxes had some damage on the Par 3s, and some were really soggy from over watering. Fairways were spectacular. Probably 95% lush, and the thin areas were still very playable. Rough ranged from barely higher than fairway to about 2 inches. The 2 green side bunkers I was in were complete opposites, 1 hard packed, 1 fluffy. Greens were pretty good. Lots of ball marks on the shorter holes. Speed was about medium, probably the slowest I have seen them. Tee to green, I had no real complaints, almost great conditions especially for the price.

I've forgot to mention the new carts they received about 6 months ago. No GPS, but dual USB charging ports. I usually don't use the cart GPS anyways.
