Hands down, Laughlins finest course and worth the extra money. One of my all time favorite courses. Love the elevation changes. Always in good shape. Very unique layout. Very challenging and club selection is very important. Very enjoyable if you play from the correct tees. Everytime I play it, I cant wait to go back and play it again!!!

Only gripes I have with the course is they don't use the numerous tee boxes they have. Most of them are too far forward. Ive played here enough to know which ones are correct for me and for my enjoyment of the course. I also enjoyed the course more before the front and back 9's were switched. That never made much sense to me because the back 9 is much tougher than the front.

Staff is always friendly and accommodating.

After Huukan, Laughlin Ranch was just what I needed to salvage my Sunday 2/16. I absolutely loved this course! Originally, I had a 1:00 tee time, but I finished my first round so early I called over and they were nice enough to move me up to an 11:12 time. The staff here is excellent and the facilities are great. I ended up playing with a couple from Canada and another guy, Peter, who has done some marshaling here and told me all about the course. It was busy out, but things moved along well and we finished in about 4.5 hours. The course was in good shape for winter. Tee boxes and fairways nice and lush. Always had great lies in the fairways. The rough was dormant gold bermuda, which framed the edges well visually. Greens good and rolling smooth at medium speeds. Weakest part was the bunkers, which had a lot of pebbles and some looked really thin. There are some really nasty bunkers here, so better sand would be beneficial. The layout is fantastic and the aesthetic touches (old mining equipment, rock walls and iron fences) create a great "look" throughout the course. It's a fun and challenging layout with a lot of variety. There are a handful of holes that some people might deem a bit "funky," but I liked the diversity and creativity with this hilly desert terrain. The only bummer for me was that I didn't get to see any of the wild burros around here. I saw plenty of "evidence" that had been scooped off to the sides of many tee boxes and I heard some brays in the distance, but no close encounters.

Played this past Saturday. 4/6/13. Course is like looking at PGA tour on CBS. Cross hatched fairways only spoiled by the boneheads that dont know how to utilize cart paths until they line up with their ball 90 degrees. Greens were slow for our liking but got used to the speed and putted well. Tee boxes are perfect, sandtraps are fluffy enough to get your ball going in the right direction. Pace of play, we finished in 3 hrs. 40 minutes. Staff friendlt and accomodating. The only thing we had to deal with was about 12 million grass hoppers that are migrating from the hills to the water edge of the river. They didnt bother me, but I had a weird dream about bugs on Sat night. Oh also, The best GPS system ever ! touchscreen so you can touch a sandtrap on screen and a box pops up with the yardage to the trap. AWESOME !

Pro shop very friendly and well managed. Course very challenging but enjoyable. Most holes are very scenic. Will play it every year.

Really enjoyed our round, got an early start and glad we did because the wind really picked up in the early afternoon. As challenging as the course is on it's own, when the wind picks up it really adds a different dimension. Hitting the fairways is a must and being sure that you pay attention to the different levels of the green as it is very important to avoid multiple putts. Staff was very friendly, extremely accommodating and helpful to make sure our experience was memorable. We certainly got our moneys worth and will be back.....

10/24/11-Play this course every year. Can't master Hole #1. It has such a beautiful vista. The tee boxes are awesome, the antique pieces (buildings, artifacts, scenes built with real machinery) are fascinating, and the course design is challenging. I wouldn't go to Laughlin without my clubs to play this gorgeous track. It is indescribably delicious! Almost worth the fee just to roam about in the golf car. Okay, about the golf. If you hit an errant shot, you're probably on the side of a hill in a bush or grass. Hit it to the wrong lay-up spot, and you're faced with a surprising angle to the green. Some of the greens are so well protected with bunkers, that you might wonder whether you can get there from here. Greens were firm, so a low shot rolled way past the hole and the green. But, oh, so enjoyable to chip it close enough for a par! The fauna is as attractive as the flora. Bring a camera. I didn't; I will next time I'm there. Lovely. The Pro Shop staff goes out of their way to start you off with a great attitude. The Cart guys are enjoyable, fun, and very helpful. Cart Lady - very friendly. Great day; great play!
