Teed off at 1pm, did not see another group until 9th hole, joined them on 10. Paid $24 for twilight rate and finished in 3 hrs, 40 mins. Greens were in good shape, fairways and tee boxes were okay, no rough at all. This is a great old layout with some tough holes when the wind is up. If you are staying in the LB area this is must play as it is a classic! Customer Service was also good.

I played Escena last Friday, teed off at 7:20 to a perfect morning in Palm Springs and a near perfect golf course. This place is in GREAT shape. Aside from the bunkers being a tad on the hard side, this place is in incredible condition. The greens are running medium to fast and very true with not many marks on them. The tee boxes and fairways are in good shape. Overall a great exp. with a great staff. Finished in just under 4 hours. Will go back again in the spring.

Played Sunday at 9:30am as a walk on. Got out in 25 mins of waiting. We finished in 4.5 hours. Not bad for a sunday morn. The course is very lush and in darn good shape. Greens are little slow but in very good shape. Keep in mind everything breaks to the ocean here. SC has a great mix of holes, no 2 are the same. With ocean views on some. Always good service and a great place to get a $1 tap beer after the round.
I played navy 18 on Friday at 12 noon. Waited on almost every hole. Finished just after 5 pm. The course is in good shape, some bare spots in the fairways and it is now as lush as it usually plays. Also some very tight lies in the fairways. Greens are in good shape and rolling very well. Got out for a $45 deal on C4TT. Worth the green fee. I would play it again, just not Friday afternoon.
Played Mesa Linda on Sunday at 7 am. Walked on as a single, only waited 20 mins. pace of play was good, just over 4 hours to finish. Scored my best round ever, 79! The tee boxes and greens are in good shape, the greens are in great shape. The best $38 greens you are going to find in the Socal. The rough is starting to come up a bit too for the City Championships coming up. This track is certainly worth the money!
Played Saturday afternoon at 3 pm. Finished in 4.5 hours. This course is in very good shape and fast greens. They will be punching very soon. This one of the hardest courses to play. You will hit a good shot and get one bad bounce and then you are on some sort of a side hill lie. Pete Dye has moved around millions of tons of dirt to make this place hard. Still very fun to play, you just can't get frustrated with some of the bounces out there.
This a top notch golf course. Great service all the way around. Played Saturday Morning at 9 am. finished in 5 hours. The course and greens are in great shape. I recommend this track to every level of golfer.
Played 6-17, 3pm tee time. finished in just under 5 hours. The course is in great condition right now, they will be punching the greens very soon. The rough is 8-10 inches long in some places, watch out. The course has elevated, beautiful views of La Qunita and the surrounding mountains. I would play this place again in a heart beat.
We played Talega on May 1st. We got out with a $39 deal on Golfnow. It was a warm, windy day. Teed off at 9:30 and finshed at 2:30. Kind of a slow round. Greens were good and the course was in good condition for this time of year and the amount of rain we have received. Service was good all around. You really have to know where you are hitting your drives at this place. Some holes you have to hit a 3 wood or less to keep it in the fairway. Be aware. Overall, well worth the money.
We played here Sat. at 2pm. We were a 5 some that finished in 4.5 hours. We did not have to wait on 1 hole. The greens are in great shape right now. The whole course is in good shape. You are not going to get more bang for your buck here. Ocean views on many of the holes!
Played here yesterday at 10:30am and finished in 4 hours. Greens were in good shape and rolled very well. The fairways and tee boxes were borderline bad. The sand traps were okay. This place is inexpensive to play with tight fairways on most holes. Used a deal from groupgolfer.com $21 for green fee, cart, range balls and bottomless soda. Not worth full price green fee.
