One of the more enjoyable courses I’ve played in the last 12 months. Links style with many interesting holes, superb greens and bunkers galore. I played the course from the Black Tees (6900 yards) and it was all I could handle…much more challenging then the indicated 72.1 rating/121 slope. What I particularly liked about the course was that EVERY HOLE was a high quality golf experience: visually pleasing as well as challenging combined with great playing conditions.

Regarding the facility, outstanding! Perhaps the biggest practice facility I’ve ever seen with a massive grass driving range, designated areas for short game tuning and even an area sectioned off for 100 yard wedge practice. The practice areas were equipped with green complexes so similar to the course the guys in my car (including myself) pulling in actually thought the first one we saw was part of the course.

If the practice facilities and golf course are not enough, the Clubhouse and Three Finger Jacks Bar & Grill definitely impressed. Very upscale casual with excellent food and service.

I can honestly say the city of Fresno and Dinuba are golf spoiled to have this place in their backyard. This course in my opinion is equally as enjoyable as Rustic Canyon and a good step above Olivas Links (both links style course I play often). I fully expect to experience Ridge Creek Dinuba Golf Club again. They were a wonderful host to our outing and certainly recommend any group considering an outing in Central Valley, CA to give the place a try.

It was a small casual outing of the golfing GK faithful and we were rewarded with great weather, smooth fast and deadly greens, and wonderful folks to enjoy golf.

Gotta say, the Ridge Creek is a great course. They have a top notch practice area and range, decent sized pro shop and great catering facilities.

Now typical of Central California, the land is flat but they make up for that with well placed bunkering, pesky waste areas and thick rough. Typical links style with a well protected greens. You will use every club in your bag and ball placement is everything.

Tee boxes were lush and flat. They rotate them well. Fairways are dormant but still very playable. They are not thin just dormant. I would give them another month, the recent rain and some warm weather will green up that place really nicely. This course is well bunkered. I mean it's like the surface of the moon. If you do not place your ball you will either find yourself on the beach in the middle of central CA or in some of the wild grass or heather that encircle the bunkers. Either situation spells at least another stroke because that stuff is thick.

Did more than my fair share of time in the bunkers. The areas of wild grass will grow thick. In the meantime they do post a danger to loosing balls b/c the junk is thick. You can locate them easy enough if you really focus on tracking your golf shot. Keep your shots straight.

Greens did roll true. Being in Central CA there was no particular feature the balls rolled towards. Loads of swails but what you saw was what you got. I liked this layout. I could shape shots even with the wind kicking up in the afternoon. My only problem was my mid irons but that was nobody's problem but mine.

One thing was that it took me some time to figure out how to approach the greens. They are firm so you have to run the ball up on the green. Agressive shots to the pin have to have a lot of back spin and high enough to stop; otherwise find yourself off the green and either chipping or putting a long one.

Considering the time of year, this course is in great shape. It's a great test of golf.

The course, I would characterize as pretty straight forward. It has loads of hazzards and problems for those who spray the ball but you can be rewarded with one good shot to the hole.

One bit of advice I would offer is buy the course guide. Best $5 you would spend. It gives distance to features on the course and since the course is flat it will give you a good lay of the land and what to avoid. Since this is links style fairways are also hard and you can run the ball. I opted this round to hit the ball lower than nromal and run it up. Not for everyone but worked for me today.

Overall, I enjoyed my round here. Facilities staff and golf are all top notch. Would play here again if I am in the area. Definately a great place to play.

Played in the GK outting on 3/21/09. This is a very nice facility overall, great practice area with multiple tee area's, complete with sand traps and greens to chip in to. The putting green was in very good condition and was very close to actual course green speed. Having a grass driving range makes the practice area complete with numerous greens as targets on the practice range. Before you even tee off, you have had a good golf experience.

The course was well maintained, it's a links style course with a very comfortable feeling. The tee boxes were very hard and the fairways were dormat, but spongy for the most part, still easy to hit off them, few tight lies. The rough was typical links style, some long tall grass, some hard pan dirt with clumps of grass, and some really short spongy stuff. Always a different shot that made it challenging when you strayed off the fairway. I'd love to play this course again when all the dormant grass was green.

Here's a tip on playing this course......You MUST avoid the sand traps, there must have been over a 100 of them and I found more than my share! The sand was very soft and you could usually easily pop the ball out with little problems. Some of the green side bunkers were very deep, if you were near a lip you may not be able to advance the ball toward the hole. The fairway traps were not as deep, but were still both challengingand plentiful, nearly every hole had 4+ it seemed. Practice your sand shots when coming here!

Their staff was top notch, very friendly. The starter was very informative before our round. The marshall was out on the course and was seen but not heard, which is a plus in my book. Overall a great place to play, definitely a place I'd go back to and play again, in fact I am looking forward to it!

Played GK outting on 3/21 - This is a very nice facility. Huge pratice area in front of the course with 4-5 diffrent tee area's, sand traps, and greens to chip in to, aprox 100 yrds max. Grass driving range completes the pratice area very nicely with alot of targets on the range and even some sand traps. The putting green was in very good shape and was very close to actual green speed on the course. (All the above is pretty rare for us SoCal golfers, so it really added to the experience for me.)

Ok - Sand traps!!!!!! over 120 of them on this course. I think I was in at least 20 of them :). Very soft and deep sand, my ball was half buried a few times, but you could go at the ball and dig it out no problem. Some of the green side bunkers were like 6 ft deep, the lip was over my head, if you were againt it, you were hitting back to fairway not to the green. Fairway traps were not as deep, but were still challenging. When planning my next trip here, I will do a couple days sand pratice to prepare.

Staff was top notch, very helpful and friendly. Starter was very informative before our round. Marshall was VERY polite out on the course, overall a great feeling to play at this course. I felt they went out of thier way to make us feel like we owned the place, definatly 5 star service as far as I was concerned. I will definatly make the drive to play this course again, I am looking forward to it!

Nice long course with some good character. No water but literally way over 100 sand bunkers. Rough is good in places, yet some others it was on dirt, or extremely long grass. Fairways are yellowish right now, but still good. Tee boxes look immaculate, but it is so hard to put a tee down in them or take it out because it is so hard and compact. Greens are tough, very nice, but break is always close. Just aim a little extra, because you will lip out at couple of times.
Practice facilities are huge as food is great in the clubhouse. A great place to play if you are close by.

Played in the GK outing today. What an awesome course and an awesome day. Clubhouse and staff were great. Two very nice young ladies working very hard for all the fellow GKer's in the shop and afterwards in the lounge.

Did not make it to the range. But from what I saw it looked more than adequate. Tee boxes were a little hard. Tough to get a spike in the ground. But did not affect play. Fairways were dormant but the ball sat up well. Lots of rough and natural areas that could cause the club head to do some crazy things.

Greens were in very good shape. They were hard but rolled well. There were some undulations to them but not too severe.

Bunkers had plenty of sand in them. There are 127 so bring your SW and be ready to hit back or sideways as the faces are steep.

Links course without many trees.

Def worth the drive. Unless you get stopped by JohnnyLaw...

This course is beautiful, as previously stated one of the top courses in the valley. Challenging but also open on the fairways giving you room to work with, but don't find yourself off the fairway because it will be a challenge just finding your ball in the rough. Has some of the most beautiful bunker cuts in the valley. Love the short game practice area, not really a feature you see available on many courses around the valley. Great restraunt, a little pricy but very fine dining. Just a little tip as previously stated by me, if you plan on golfing here once every two months, you will make you money and then some if you spend the 125 dollars for the membership. It is well worth the price! As a citizen of Dinuba I am proud of the job our city has done to bring golfers from around the valley to our town. Hope to see you in Dinuba soon!

Played opening day 7/13. the course is everything that it is made up to be, a "premium" muni. With that said, it is as good as anything in the central valley. The driving range/practice area is great. They have 3 chipping greens up to 120 yards out.The course itself is very good. The fairways are hard, 20-25 yards of extra roll, hard to get a bad lie on. You need to avoid the fairway bunkers at all cost, as they deep and soft. The sand in the bunkers better than anywhere, and very consistent 2 of the par 3's are short, 100-110 yards from the white tees, but the pins were in very hard locations. The greens are big and undulating, but the slowest greens I have ever been on. They are very thick and dense, and the ball does not break as much as you think. With that said, I shot a 93, about average. You can miss off the tee, as long as you really miss. The edge of the fairways has long grass, you will lose your ball. If you miss the fairway by 5 yards you are in trouble, but if you miss by 40 yards, chances are you will be in different fairway and still have a shot to the green. Overall 1 of the top 2 course in fresno area. Well worth the green fee.
