Had a tee time of 1:00, but went off a few minutes early. Great design, really enjoyed it. Fairways were lush for the most part, with some bare spots. Rough was pretty much the same, very playable. Bunkers are nice and fluffy too. Greens are medium/medium slow, and hold shots very well. Didn't see a cart girl, but there are PLENTY of water stops (a huge help-be sure to keep a wet towel too, works great).

Great customer service and food, had an excellent Prime Rib dip before I teed off.

Up in La Quinta for a golf trip. Drove in to the La Quinta Resort and Club not expecting to play, but temptation prevailed.

I scheduled a 5:06 tee time via GolfNow and was able to tee off around 4:30-4:40. Course is in good condition. Fairways are great, although there are some bare spots. It's lush when it isn't bare. Rough is also excellent, very playable. Bunkers are a little thin, but still very playable. Greens were great also considering they will be punched in a week. They were somewhat soft and rolled well with decent speed. I enjoyed my experience overall and will be back on my next trip.

Also: As of today, the Mountain course is still closed. I have no idea of when they are re-opening, but it looks as if its shaping up nicely.

Played Robles..in less than 4 hours! Even though it's a weekday, that's a total shocker.

They are REALLY pushing pace of play now, for example giving tips on how to keep up pace of play via the GPS on the cart. Also, which is a shocker and a disappointment to me considering how short the course is in the first place, removed all of the black tee markers.

The conditions at Robles were surprisingly good. Fairways were lush, didn't get a bad lie all day. Rough is decent around the fairways and greens, although patchy at times. Greens, although bumpy, held shots very well and I enjoyed putting on them. Bunkers (at least the 2 I was in) were nice and fluffy.

In all, Los Robles has made a huge change in the right direction, and I certainly will be spending more of my money on their course.

Played Saturday 2/2/13. Played on a Golfnow deal for 50 bucks with cart, can't beat that. Although there is a some areas that are ground under repair, the fairways are lush in many places, and the green roll well. One of my favorite tracks to play.

Course is amazing. Service was great, and they also give you a gift bag and a $15 Food & Beverage card to use. Fairways are some of the best I've seen, the rough is very nice too. Bunkers are soft and fluffy, and the greens are quick and smooth. One problem I had was the wind. It constantly blows at this course. Even with the wind, it was worth the 3 hour, 180 mile drive!

Did the Big Break deal with the Esmeralda Resort, which is on the property of Indian Wells GR. The Players course was great! It is in great condition. The greens are true, and the bunkers are soft. Rough isn't very thick though. Fairways are immaculent. I would play here again for sure!

Played here on a beautiful day on Saturday. Not much wind. Course is in great shape. Fairways and rough are nice as always, though there are some bare spots. Bunkers aren't even close to being thin too. Greens are the best part of the course right now. Very smooth and quick. Receptive too. Overall a great experience with wonderful CS and food.

Last time I played Westlake, it was in great condition. It has declined since. Fairways are thin and hard, there is really no rough (unless you count the weeds with flowers), and the bunkers are middle of the road. The greens were suprisingly the best part of the course. For a course like Westlake, they were fast. Maybe 10 on the stimp. The only green that is wierd is #17. It is NOTHING like the rest of the course. That greens is hard, and impossible to hold a shot in the right place. Westlake may not be the best course in the area, but if you can deal with the hackers, and get a tee time(you can't pay your green fee until your next up), you get a great place to practice for a decent price.

Great condition for a muni! Course is very green. Rough is very thick and lush in most places, but there are bare sports. Fairways are also green, with a little brown. They were very soft, and I didn't get much roll (played in the mist though). Sand is nice and fluffy. Greens and green and soft, but medium-slow as expected from a muni. Overall a nice course aside from the iffy customer service and price if your not a LA resident.

The Lakes course is shaping up nicely. The greens are recovering well from the punching, and will be good in a week (should be playing this same course next weekend, so I'll see how they've improved). The are suprisingly quick too, and hold iron shots well. The only bad looking green is the ninth. Bunkers are nice and fluffy, and the rough is really thick! Fairways are lush and dormant brown, and you get a good roll out. The Lakes is beautiful right now and I highly recomend it!

Played Wood Ranch recently. I was expecting a lot from this course. It wasn't mind blowing. Fairways are nice. Soft, and give good roll. Rough was a problem. While it was nice in some areas, with 3+ inches of rough, there were bare spots. They weren't hard to find either. Greens are quick, not as fast as Saticoy CC but fairly fast. They were somewhat bumy, as I saw many unfixed pitchmarks. Overall, Wood Ranch is a nice course. It is better than most public acess courses, but it isn't the best private course in the area. Having also played Saticoy CC recently too, I think Saticoy is a better design and is in better condition. But heck, this is my opinion.

I dunno what this guy below is talking about! The course is the opposite from what he says. They have a great practice area, and the chipping green allows you to practice shots to many different types of hole locations. Course is one of the best in the area with lush fairways and rough. Greens are smooth but can be firm. Customer service is great, and they have some great sandwiches for lunch. I prefer the Black Forrest Ham!
