Played on 12/13/08. First group out. The starter(Bran don) did not tell us the greens had some sort of fungus and were about to go. They are going to have a real problem with these and the alternates are in mostly horrible shape. He did not tell us that #2 was playing to a temporary green. The tee boxes need serious work for the most part, especially the par 3's. I probably won't play here again for a couple of months until the greens are fixed. It is a pity, because they just raised the green fees so you would think they could put some of that money into the courses.
Also it is one of, or if not the only 18 hole public course on the Westside. I hope they do something quick!

Played 11/23 first group out with Dave and Dave, my two new lefty friends. Course is in great shape with the greens leading the way. Luckily, no wind to speak of and courde played great. Fairways are good, I just wish more people would fix divots or sand them. I take an extra 2-3 bottles of sand on my push cart while walking and don't see why every one can't help out to keep this course in great shape. My thanks always to Buddy and all the staff at Rustic.

Played 8/24. 3rd group out in the fog. Although you couldn't see for the first 4 holes it was a good experience. I love this course and will continue to drive the 40+ miles to do so.

Played Sunday 5/18. Day after Police tourney, so course was in the best shape of the year. I wish they could keep it like this all year. First group out, all walking played in 3:45. Yeah!

Played 4/6/08. Course is in good shape. Greens were a tad slow due to the aeration about 10 days ago. I really wish they would redo #7 green back the way it was before the "Great Flood". It is almost impossible to hold a shot on that green, and when you do the putt is like a miniature golf course. Other than that ,I really love this course.

Played on 3/30. Course was not in shape for $80.00 a round. Greens were quite bumpy and pin positions were questionable at best for a public course. Teed off at 10:30 and did not see the cart girl until the 15th fairway. The tee boxes need serious work or at least for the grounds crew to place the tee markers on a level part of the boxes! Over all the fairways were not in good shape with a lot of dirt areas and very thin grass. I hope they can fix these problems as this is a great layout!

Played 8/18/ early am. Was pleased with course condition. The woman in the grill was as rude as I have ever seen.

Played on Sat. 4/21/07 and it was absolutely beautiful. The only thing I wish players and the golf course would do more of is fill in divots in the fairways and on the tees. We played early( 1st group) and all walked the course in 3:45. BV

Played Sat. 2/24 out early. Greens were good but fairways spotty. Need aerating & seeding. Bunkers good when people rake them. Over all good

While I think Rancho is a great course for the amount of play it receives, they need to pay more attention to the tee boxes.

While I love playing this course, I think a little more attention should be given to the rough areas and the greens. Also, it is so windy in the winter it makes the course virtually unplayable and definetly not fun.

Was lucky to get out off the singles list on Sat. with the first group of the Men's Club. It was my first time playing here and I must say that this is a great course. The superintendant should be commend for the greens here are great. Tee boxes and traps very good. We teed off at 6:30 and were done at 9:55 wiyh a short stop at the turn for coffee. I will be back!!!!!
