Played on Sat. the 23rd, got out in about an hour after arriving a 6:30 a.m. the very nice woman in the pro shop was great. The greens were not very good on the front nine, with two temporary greens in play #7 & #8. Seems to me they were over watered and the got fungus and beetle infestation and they just were unputtable in most cases. A bit better on the back nine where I think the greens get more sun. I did like the layout and will go back after they aerate in October.

In the best shape ever.

Rancho is rounding into shape for the heavy summer play. I just hope that they don't totally overwater it and let it play the way it is supposed to play.

Terribly over watered. Greens ok. Tee boxes need work. Fairways ok. Rough too wet.

Once again disappointed with the over watering of this course. If you hit a good shot and are expecting it to bounce or release, you can just forget about it because this course is just too wet. It hasn't rained in months, but you would never know it from
Rancho.

It is a pleasure to play here...if the wind is not blowing....

Teed off at 6:18 on Sat. 11/12..We were the second group out and we finished in 3:50 all walking. So it is possible to play Rancho in less than 4 hrs. We could have played in 3:30 if the 1st group had played the front 9 faster. The course is in great shape, thanks to the staff..greens and fairways are great. Maybe they could just let the rough grow up a little.(I know, that would slow down play, but it would be a truer test.) The starters here are great, thanks to them all...

Played here on Sunday 11/13. I didn't have a time but got out at 7:20. The course is as good as I have seen it. The fairways were cut perfectly to give you some roll out on your drives. The greens are just fabulous. You must be true to your read and speed though or you will miss. Remember, here all putts break towards "Ronnie Rayguns" library. I wish more people would replace their divots in the fairways, as I take several bottles of sand with me and could use all of them on any par 4 or 5. If you can walk this course, you should as it is a very walkable course. I hope to see the rates reduced, as I think they would get more revenue and then could improve even more of the damage caused by the Big Rain, i.e. rebuild bridges, etc....All said tho...great course for the money.....

The course is really rounding back into shape... I think it is very playable once again.. Sometimes I just love the "imaginative" pin placements...Worth the price anytime....

I think this course is just going to get better with time.. I also think that they need to marshall a bit more

Played Sunday, Aug 27. 2nd group off at 6:05 AM 1st group played very slowly, which is unusual, but we still finished in 4 hrs. Greens were very soft and had some ball mark damage do to players not fixing their marks. Also new sand in bunkers made for nice play from them, except when previous players did NOT rake them. Overall very nice though.

I see that they have raised the prices back to where they were before the rain damage. What a pity. Now they will lose players like me who will drive the extra 20 mininute to play Rustic or Tierra Rejada for 35.00-65.00 dollars less. And how come the Senior Tour starts at 50, but the senior rate at golf courses is at 55???? Well I guess I will play Angeles National when they lower their rates as Tierra Rejada and Lost Canyons had to do....
