Played Tues dec 1st at 624, check in fast, first time I decided to ride here and their carts have some get up and go. It was too dark on the first hole to see the drive but was good by the second hole. I agree with the last few reviews, this place was in good shape a month ago but has gone down hill since, greens rolled nice and I made some long putts, tee boxes were either chewed up, sand , or bare, a few fairways on the back 9 were CPO, not sure why, fairways were not real good, wasn't in any bunkers. POP was good at 340. I like the layout so will probably be back 1 more time before it closes

Played Fri Nov 27th at 748, got there early so my son could hit a bucket of balls, very crowded early. Easy and fast check in. We usually play here on Tuesdays and I knew we would be paying holiday rates but $55 is a bit much for this course, POP was good at 405, no waiting and no one pushing behind us. Course was in decent shape, most tee boxes good with the exception of 2 par 3's they were bare and needed leveling. Fairways were in good shape, not in any traps, rough a little long and hard to find the ball, also allot of leaves in rough. They really did a good job with the greens, remember all the reviews that they were so soft and spongy, well they were much harder and rolled pretty good, in fact a few of them were too fast on putts and the ball ran away from the hole somewhat like hidden valley, this was my sons first time here and I think he liked it, it is a course you need course knowledge, we will return on a Tuesday.

Played Tues Nov 24th at 722, check in fast and friendly. They are now lining up the carts again but still don't want you loading your bag until told to do so. This makes it a little crowded with carts and golfers outside the club house. Got out on time, played the golds as usual. The course has allot of maintenance going on, tee boxes were ok, level, fairways mostly green with a few winter bare spots, many many roped off areas were ground under repair, reseeding is going on, was in on fairway bumker and sand was wet , hopefully they will work on the bunkers also. Greens were still not quite recovered, were slow and a little bumpy. POP was the usual 406, would have been much faster but there were 4 20 something guys in front of us playing the blues, and of course they were the wrong tees, LOL we had my son in law with us and he played the golds with us and shot 104, AND had a 295 yard drive on 18, he was past the cart path and still took a nine. As said before, "driving distance" does not establish which tees you should play, skill does. We like it here , will be back.

Played Fri Nov 20th at 648, check in ok, they have no senior rate so $57 was the damage. This track in not worth that rate. Starter was up by the club house giving out carts, 2 per cart, or pay extra. Got to the 1st tee and they had moved all the rough down and left it, you could barely see the cart path. Tee boxes were level, fairways cut short , running in spots and very wet in others. The course was definitely over watered, there were many bunkers that had allot of water in them. I was in 1 green side trap and there was actually good sand. Greens were terrible, so fast they were unplayable, 3 foot down hill putt, hit it 1" miss the hole and it goes 6 feet past it, 10 foot up hill putt and on line 3" short and it rolls back 5 feet, 2o foot down hill putt hit it 2" and rolls 6 feet past. Saw cart girl once, we never order. Will not be back for $57 when I can play el prado, for $36 and actually enjoy the round.

Played Tues Nov 10th at 722, check in fast, was told to load the cart and took off and it was bucking, like it didn't have a good charge, turned around and asked for another and no problem. I usually put my phone in my bag but I had to call the chiropractor and get an appointment in the afternoon so I put it in the cart and forgot it, got to the starter shack and here comes the cart guy with my phone. Really good service, after the round i hunted him down, gave him a tip , got his name and went in and told the manager Camron did an excellent job. We played the golds as usual and there is still allot of clean up going on, one hole had tape around part of the green parking and next tee box because of a down tree. For the most part things were in good winter shape. One bunker good sand but 2 others not good, greens were nice, POP was usual at 402.

Played Fri Nov 6th at 910. At check in Ruth is just a joy to begin a round of golf, the entire staff is very friendly and nice, after check in we were told about the tees being moved because maintenance was being done on the tee boxes, well truthfully it really did mess up the round, we play whites and most of the whites were way back by the blues, did not like the course at this lentgh, and since we had a 4 group tourny going on, we couldn't change tees. The course was very dry with the exception of #1, there was a small pond in front of the green, standing water the size of a car. Other than that the fairways were very hard and the ball just rolls,. Hole #6 prime example, hit your 2nd shot up by the green and it rolls back 70 yards into the water. Hole #16 we teed off from the blues on a tee box we didn't even know was there, it was a very long carry into the wind and when everyone is up in age, this distance was just too much. The greens have recovered and well not bad, will be better in another week. If you are going to play here soon, and you are a shorter hitter, play the reds, not the whites where they have them, do not feel you are playing the womens tees, theses are the tees you will enjoy your round from. This round was no fun. I unfortunately did not think the course was in that good of shape.

Played Thurs nov 5th at 7am, on line reservation with credit card and pay at course with credit card. Check in fairly easy. 4 some walking, got out on time, POP was 356, . Decided to play this course 1 last time with some other friends since it is closing, we were surprised at how good the conditions are with it closing, talked to 1 of the Marshalls and he said closed dec 1st so we just made it, outside dining open. 2 of the 3 putting greens are open for paying customers only. I didn't score as well as i would have liked for playing it the last time, but I did get a last birdie on 17,. Sorry to see the players closing.

Played Tues nov 3rd at 826, check in fast, they now have no carts out for you to load up, you have to be called and they bring the carts to you, this is causing some confusion as people try to grab the carts. It will get better. Got out on time. Course is still cleaning up from the wind storm, still some down trees and chain saws going on and it was not the 15th club in our bag ( chain saw) lol They reseaded some tee boxes and most notable was all the par 3 tees were grouped together in front of the gold tees, and those tee boxes were terrible. the greens were receptive and always had a ball mark to repair. They rolled nice, pop was ok at 359, but we waited every hole on a 2 some, we were a 4 some.

Played Fri oct 30th at 750. Check in very quick at organized. Every thing open , people sitting outside eating breakfast. Got out on time, 1st tee shot into the sun is murder, was here 2 weeks ago and greens were recovering, well they were really nice today, as said before, greens are the highlight of this course and they were again today, I only had 25 putts today so that indicates they rolled true, the rest of my game stunk, but putting was good the rest of the course is definitely going into winter mode,. As weber said, don't go with high expectations, just go for a round of golf and know the greens are good. They were cleaning up allot of trees, but really did not affect the game. Really glad these 2 courses survived as paradise knowls was always just good down home golf.

Played Fri Oct 23th at 7:20, check in fast and friendly. They finished remodeling the bath room and it looks nice, the problem is they only have 1 stall, really with 2 courses and that many golfers.... anyway course was in usual condition, greens not bad always a ball mark to repair, fairways had coverage with a few bare spots, rough was either thick or bare depending on where you were, . I walked and I should have ridden, I haven't walked in a while and I need to get in shape. They have one of those house tents up now for people to eat outside. Glad this course is doing well as between the 2 course it is always a good place to get a tee time.

Played Tues oct 20th at 9:10 my friend pays on line and I bring him the cash but he was called into the pro shop and had to pay, so apparently they changed on line and only hold and they take payment at the course. I walked for the first time in 2 months and it was better than walking in 95 degree heat like the last time. They were busy, allot of people eating, 2 putting greens are now open and it was nice to just hit a dozen shots to get the speed, I agree with most of the last review except i wasn't in any bunkers, I thought they were keeping the course in real good shape for closing in December. We saw a maintenance guy several times going to the bunkers and raking them, that is a nice touch. I on the other hand I like the players course much better than the classic course. I want to get back hear in November on a monday or Thursday for the last round.

Played Fri Oct 16th at 730, check in fast, got out 30 minutes early, putting green still closed, it looked great and was being maintained, just don't understand. No one in front of us or behind us so no waiting and wasn't pushed, POP was 354, and again all us, my partners had allot of balls in the rough and they are hard to find as the rough was on the long side. The greens were supposed to be punched mon oct 9th and they must have been small holes and they were basically healed. Tee boxes were good with the exception of a few par 3's, fairways were quite green, as mentioned rough was long and took a long time to locate ball, I was in 6 traps and got out of each in 1 shot so can't complain, but they nneeded attention. Greens were recovered, as usual very, very wet and spunggy, hugh foot print marks and several half plugged balls. The greens are very difficult, I only made 52 feet of putts the entire round with an 8 footer being the longest, no 3 putts so many of my putts were 1 to 2 foot tap ins, the mountain and surrounding hillside makes putts look up hill or down hill when the are flat, and visa versa. I like the layout here because several holes you do not use driver and have to think off the tee.
