Played 6/01/11 7:56 am, I'm writing this against my better judgement. I do not want you to know this course is the best value for your money. I dont want you to know the staff will treat you like a visiting dignitary. I also dont think you should be aware the fairways are like a perfect carpet, the greens may look somewhat splochy but they are smooth and true, or the tee boxes are flat and well kept. But I will tell you this, the bunkers could use some sand, they are generaly hard, but it is what is. And the very worst thing about this course is there are only 18 holes, and this truly great golfing experience comes to an end.

Played Woodley Lakes 02/24/11, dismal conditions. The fairways are so spotty,it just goes to show what lack of maintenance breeds, no fall maintenance in 2010, now we have a course that can't stand-up to some minor inclement weather. But I will give credit were credit is due, the greens are very good.

Played on monday 02/21/11, tees, fairways & greens are as near perfect as it gets, this time of year. The bunkers are another story. I know it had rained saturday, but the traps have had no sand for a long time, like playing from hard pan. Over all a great day at a great course. This place Rocks.

Dec. 2nd. temp. mid 70s lite winds 1-2mph. Golf course is in perfect shape. Customer service was top notch (always is), weekday rates are $65 (I found an internet discount and played for $50). Every tee box is flat. Fairways are plush. Greens are firm, and challenging. this is my favorite place to play, never a disappointment weather I shoot 98 or 78, every hole is beautiful. Bring a camera.

Played Presidents Day 2/15 10am. Golf course as close to perfect as Rustic Canyon gets. Starter said greens were running at 11+, there were fast and true, 11+ I don't know about all that, but most of the greens were giving me fits, a 4 foot left to right brake is nothing out of the ordinary, I had puts with 2 or 3 times that much brake. I loved it, this is golf as it is supposed to be.

Played 10/07 7:30am or so, on rush to just warm up and when ready let the starter know. The course is so very well kept, and the servise is allways first rate, it's a wonder this place is not packed with players, we played in under 4 hours. Fun course, you must think your way around, bunkers everywhere off the tee. The views are really something, you say to yourself, "wow that looks like fun." And do you know what? It Is.

03/31/08 - Greens as near perfect as any public course I have ever played in CA. Construction on course is almost complete, should not come into play unless you get wild.

03/30/08 - Greens as poor as any I can recall without punching & sanding, bunkers were well kept, the rest of the course could use work. Lots of rounds played here but not much of an excuse for poor up-keep.

This was the first time I played A.G.CC in 25 years. The lay out is good enough, the club it's self has a 1950s kind of feel, which is very relaxed ,note a 5 hour round early Sunday morning. The grass was thin all over, tee boxes were very poor and should be closed to allow grass to grow. Will I Play again? Sure in the summer after new grass has grown in.
