Wow! Narrow fairways, penalizing nasty rough, quick greens that run to the ocean, heavy humid air, wind, and the general difficulty of this place make you realize how truly great Tiger is. Believe it or not the Navy course that Tiger grew up on (same grass on greens and fairways) is very similar to this place and a lot cheaper and surely will help prepare you for Torrey.

Everything about this place is first rate and worth the money to play at least once. The course is absolutely beautiful and in perfect condition. Truly a fair test of your game.

Played here for the first time on 7/25 and the greens still are in very poor shape. They are extremely slow and rolling very poorly. I would advise people to not play here until conditions improve. The layout and scenery are very nice, but not up to all the rave reviews they trumpet endlessly.

The new clubhouse and course improvements coupled with excellent conditions. I've never seen this place in this kind of shape (10+ years), worth $50 to ride, and a real challenge with the prevailing winds and helicopter noise.

Good news: Teed off at 1:20PM on a friday and finished in 3 1/2 hours!!! Bad news: Had a 12:30 tee time and was delayed by a tournament that started an hour late. If they wanted to study slow play from the wrong tees, not caring about other groups on the course, or fixing any ballmarks, this place would be the lab. They are punching the greens tomorrow so stay away for a while.

Something's fishy! I played Eagle Glen about two weeks ago and the conditions were sketchy at best. The greens were sandy and very slow, the bunkers were like hardpan. I think this place is hurting because they are discounting tee times left and right. It does have the potential to be a nice course, but right now the condition needs to improve.

It's a beautiful setting, very quiet and feels far away from LA. The biggest problem right now are the greens and the sand traps. Putts bounce so much they lose speed and don't hold line. Some putts were so slow it really felt like velcro. Most of the traps are more hard clay than sand, good luck. It's still worth $45, but hopefully conditions will improve....

Not only overpriced, but the GPS is just basic numbers, so you need to buy the book, and pay for range balls on top of the high green fee. Traffic sucked. Only two water jugs on course. Give me Robinson Ranch, Industry, less money, better course and conditions, but no more strawberry!

Where's the money? Obviously they are not spending it on the maintenance budget. The course is falling back to what it used to be....a dump. Teeboxes and fairways are very thin and spotty. The greens are very soft and bumpy. And of course the pace of play.....5 1/2 HOURS!

I've been playing this course regularly for 15+years, and now that the secret is out, the course is suffering for it. I know every green like the back of my hand, and although the speed is good, they are bumpy and not holding the line. I love this course, but I think they are pushing too many players out.

The fairways are a little thin and need some time to come back from overseed. The greens are really rolling beautifully, but the key here is to stay below the hole!

The greens have decent speed but are BUMPY and don't hold line. For $$$ this place not worth it right now. Conditions were very wet and soft.
