Played in GURU outing along with 7 fellow Guru members. My 4some consisted of putt4dough, rudedog, and weber2323. Goose Creek hosted a qualifier earlier in the day and the players were just finishing as we tee'd it up at 1:00. played the back tees and I stepped onto some tee boxes that I have not been on before at Goose. Course was in top notch conditions and the marshall was kind enough to run some pin sheets out to us as the pins were in tournament position. Tee boxes were in the usual great condition. Fairways are short and you must compress the ball to get the best results as always. Greens were running typical Goose fast and no bumps so putts rolled true, Mike, (Weber2323) burned too many cups yesterday, He should have had a fistful of birdies. I was only in one bunker and it had enough sand to get my ball back to the fairway. Rough was fairly thick but gave you opportunity to recover from your errant shot placements. Pace of play was fantastic as we never waited and played at 4 hours and watched the other Guru group finish up on 18 with the brutal back pin position tucked up next to the water. What a fantastic day. Thanks to Ross and all the great people at Goose Creek for having GK Guru event on such a perfect day. Missed JohnnyGK out here though. See you soon Johnny

Played Rhodes Ranch early friday morning prior to bowling our first event at the Open Championships at The South Point bowling plaza. Along with three of my bowling pals we looked forward to a good friday of golf. Course was in great shape, no maintanence. Greens rolled true and probably about a 9-10 on the stimp. Tee boxes were full and flat, fairways were very green and was a true reward for a well hit tee shot. Bunkers were easy to escape from except for a few fried eggs that were encountered. Customer Service was on par with the fine conditions. No wind which was a blessing as previous day on the drive up was like a warm up to a hurricane on the 15 freeway. Go play it before it gets HOT !

Played Oak Quarry this morning with some great Pals. Watched my buddy Eagle Number two. It was windy today so the scoring wasnt very consistent, but the course from aerating 3 weeks ago is in really great shape, when you place your tee in the tee box sometimes your tee goes all the way down as you have found a covered up punch hole since the tee boxes are very healthy. Fairways were very nice, like carpet in most areas, some wet parts still. Rough was normal 1 to 3 inches with very little bare spots to be found. Green were not as fast they appear but balls rolled smoothly. Bunkers thin, hard pan met your club immediately upon impact to make sand play challenging. Great day inspite of the wind. Always enjoy Oak Quarry

Played on the 14th in a shotgun for a Birthday group which we do every year, so its a fun day with the best Pals a guy could ask for. The course was in good shape and drainage was very good after the rains the past week leading up to our outing. Of course the bunkers had some standing water but it was a scramble so we didnt have to hit out of any bunkers. Tee Boxes have improved from the past, not as many lumps on the tee boxes anymore. Fairways were wet but tight, greens were great, fairly quick. It was really windy so it made for a tough day to hit em long and straight. Very enjoyable day in spite of the wind.

Played today with my Club group and I have had a fondness for both Prado courses since I have played so many rounds there over the years. Today, YIKES ! I hit about 70 percent fairways and on 18 my fairway second shot was the only one that was actually on grass, most of the lies in the fairway are dirt/mud/mulch. Greens were slow and bumpy but if you hit it firm you had a chance of holing the putt. Bunkers were decent, most had enough sand to make a shot out. Rough was long in some strange areas. Tee boxes were hunt for spot to put your peg in. At least I played with great pals today and listened to good music and smoked a good Rocky Patel or two. Staff are great here as always. Please send rain

Got a chance to play with Johnny MISTER GK'r himself with Nickequire, and Kevbig. Course was in great shape especially since the last time I played in early spring, at that time it almost looked like a course of neglect but wow the staff and grounds crew has really turned the course into a positive direction. We played combo tees this day and all the the tee boxes were nice, some a little wet but level and no real issues. Fairways were typical hot summer time thin and wet which is needed to protect the little blades from sun stroke, but the shots from the fairway were easy to hit. Rough and bunkers were in good shape some thin but not enough to warrant a complaint. Greens were in superb condition, fairly fast but not the normal Eagle Glen speedy. Had a blast playing with these guys and look forward to my next trip to Eagle Glen. It is on the way back to splendor in the grass.

Played with some good pals this week on IKE, early tee time to try to beat the heat but the course was soaked understandably and as it warmed up the moisture came up and hit us like a wet sponge, little breeze kicked in about the 8th hole and made the rest of the morning pleasant. Tee boxes were ok, some areas were uneven or soaked, as were the fairways being very wet in some areas, greens were terribly slow and bumpy at times. Bunkers were full and I was only in one all day but it led to a quadruple bogey, my oly bad hole on the day :-( I grew up in Hacienda Heights so I have a fondness for Industry Hills but it will humble you if you are not hitting your driver or irons straight. Great friendly staff, kudos to Tim in the cart barn as He always greets you with a happy smile and cheery greeting. He is a keeper. Good day on The IKE.

Agree with Weber and Weeman assessment of the conditions currently at Eagle Glen. I hate tight dry fairways and it was like hitting off worn out range mats all day long. It really became a day with great friends that turned into a day I just wanted 18 to arrive immediately. This course needs a lot of rain to hit us. Only 37.00 to play so at least it wasnt like we overpaid for the course that day

Played on Sunday 2-21-2016 with my golf club. I knew it would be a long round as first group went out at 1040. Its very green, but the fairways are bumpy with clumps of grass dotted around bare spots or dead spots, and players just leave their crater sized divots without filling with sand. Tee boxes were uneven and you had to hunt for spot to place your tee. Greens were great, firm and fast, which made for some tough downhill and slider putts. Bunkers are fluffy with white fluff sand which I had some problems getting out as I am used to the IE hardpan bunkers. Customer service was great and it was very nice when a pretty girl from the bar came out to the range with trays of ice water filled cups for us golfers. It was just a long day which is what you get with a county course on a weekend.

Played Los Lagos on our final day in Laughlin/Bullhead on Sunday Nov 15th. Early tee time once again as the sun rose over the eastern hills. only a few cars in the parking lot, so we had the course to ourselves, complimentary range balls. Pro Shop is very nice with a nice grill that wasnt open yet. Pro Shop Manager was kind enough to give us Casino rates even though we were staying in a condo on the river. We just hit a couple warm up balls and were then joined with Vick (Local player) as we were only a twosome for this day. Vick was a pleasure to play with and He had a rangefinder that helped out tremendously as their is no GPS on the carts and my Iphone app didnt pick up with the course. Vick helped out by advising which side of the fairways to play and greens. Course is basically Laughlin Ranch conditions but easier to play. Course has homes and empty lots surrounding the course. The fairways were green and lush, tee boxes perfect, bunkers thin as we are used to in the I.E. and greens were very firm and a touch slow but smooth. I really hope this course gets more play as it needs to survive, so if you journey to Laughlin area, you need to include this course in your weekend. Two courses down the road have some problems that will take a long time to fix. So play Laughlin Ranch and Los Lagos for a weekend and you will be very happy with that decision

Played Saturday Nov. 14th with an early tee time as the sun was rising over the eastern hills. Greeted with a smile from cart dude that took our bags down and put them on our carts. New pro shop with same friendly people. Course is reversed now starting on former number 10 as the new number one, I liked it as the "pretty holes" are now the finishing holes. Course was in great condition, greens are normal desert winter greens that look bumpy but actually roll real smooth and held approach shots like glue. Fairways are green and perfect, rough is thin in spots and brown as is typical for November. Sand traps were moist in the deepest fairway bunkers, but overall were playable, I only was in 2 for the day :-) - Best GPS on the carts, touch screen with scorecard for 4 players. Worth the price of admission folks, it is a must play every trip to Laughlin/Bullhead

Played Champions Course on Labor Day, it wasnt too bad with the heat, frozen G2 Gatorade helped a lot. The course ? I knew that they were getting ready to do maintanence and it really needs some TLC, the fairways are full of green grass but also has way too many dirt patches all over the place, so grooving one down the middle of the fairway was a 50/50 chance of landing on grass or wet dirt. The rough was dead grass for the most part so hit a few shots off the hardpan dirt with utilities and short irons. Greens were slow, I think they watered them heavy to save them from the heat. Bunkers were good, tee boxes also were fine. Hey its drought conditions at so many courses, Bring on El Nino !
