Played the GK event with abbacat, sbogey and Teagal today. Was real nice to see fellow GKers and meet some new faces. While all of the PGA West courses are very different this is my favorite of the three so I was happy to hear Johnny chose this one. Course is in near immaculate condition. Such an interesting layout with no "rough" to speak of. I like how Norman has contoured the dirt (think it's decomposed crushed granite) to bring slightly errant balls back to the playing area. Tee boxes level, lush. Fairways flawless. Sand good and plenty. Greens smooth and barely a mark. Course is in the same condition through all four seasons. I've never seen it look any different than it has today. Gorgeous views and beautiful foliage. Just an exceptional course with phenomenal customer service. Highly recommended!!

Had an awesome time this weekend with Rudyclub, 1plus1 and TeaGal playing the GK plays event. First time here and I was very impressed. Yes, it's a bit of a drive, but what's another hour for great golf?! It had a layout... to me... fairly reminiscent of Shadow Ridge and with a feel of Paiute. A real nice Fazio design. I could feel elements of Primm as well. A few houses, but nothing intrusive, set in a beautiful sweeping open desert valley.
Staff was A+++++ throughout the event, even offering TeaGal hot tea (kinda funny if ya think about it) for the ride home. Wow.
Course was gorgeous and super green. Tee boxes level and well cut. Sand full. Greens smooth and pretty quick with just a few very scattered repaired divots. Greens were fairly soft and held shots well. Fairways good and rough just cut a bit longer.
Overall I was super impressed and had an incredible time. Definitely recommend a drive to play here. Also, thank you to Johnny as always. You are a true gentleman and really make these events special. We all thank you.

Played weekend of 12/5. The course should recover but is not in the condition it normally is or should be for this time of the year. As it was explained to us by almost everyone working there, including two marshals that planted themselves on hole 3, they had some booking for a major group for a few days that they had to keep the course open, thus seeding late with a dry month, etc etc something like that. I was impressed that they were so quick to tell us that they know the course isn't as good as normal. Bottom line, they are aware that the course in not where it needs to be and are working to get it there. Here's the summary,,, greens are super slow and crazy bumpy, some very shaggy. Sand is full with a fresh dumping for winter. Tees were fine. Fairways thin and rough a bit thin, but nothing that isn't playable. There aren't bare spots and it's still a decent round of golf but it all is still growing in. I like this track and the people. Hopefully it will recover well enough for what the winter visitors expect the course to look like.

The wind was howling at the Wolf this Thanksgiving! Lucky us we pick the two coldest days of the year to come here and play. Oh well! Despite not being properly outfitted for cold and shivering my way through it, actually managed a real nice round. I absolutely love Paiute and especially Wolf. All 3 courses here play different and each has its own feel. In my opinion Wolf is just an exceptional example of what is right in Pete Dye designs. For some reason I play so well on his layouts. ...minus one course with PGA and Stadium in the name that I will not mention! Everything is near flawless here, tee boxes, greens, rough, fairways. Sand good enough, have to remember any overly fluffy would blow right out. Very large and firm greens. Great service as always. Exceptional pro shop. I think I'm going to go here again in the spring/summer and play all 3 as I've had 4 rounds here but all have been in cold weather. Bravo Paiute!!! One of my absolute favorite courses.

Got up to use my GK rounds at Conestoga this weekend. Great experience from start to finish. Cart guys were awesome and set a great tone for the round. Talking to them prior to even getting into the pro shop I was even more stoked to play there. Excellent Troon service throughout. Course was in real nice shape, flat and well mowed tee boxes, lush but not too high. Nice fairways and rough just a bit thicker. The ball sat up real nice on every shot. Only in one fairway and one green side trap. Both were decent enough. Greens were smooth and decently fast with only a few unrepaired divots from previous golfers that day. Food was excellent and nice pro shop for souvenirs. A few just ok holes through the beginning of the back 9 but the scenery on the front is fantastic. Similar to it's Mesquite neighbor Wolf Creek, but much more playable. No GPS on carts. I really enjoyed the experience here and will make this a regular stop on my Vegas trips.

Played 10/4, the final day before closing for winter seeding. Too bad that was the final day because it was in such great condition! We were here a couple months ago and conditions were surprisingly not stellar, since every time I had ever played before, regardless of season, it's always been near perfect. Today was back to the excellent conditions we are used to here.
Today was made even better by an awesome surprise of seeing kviser on the range and getting to hook up and play with him and our now new friend, dabldya. Thank you to the course for getting us switched around as kviser detailed in his review. This is one of my favorite courses in the area for the course, range, pro shop, restaurant, and last but not least, the excellent staff of cart attendants. I highly recommend this course any time of the year.

Thank you Johnny for another great event. Had a great time with our playing partners Keith and Matt. PGA West is a great venue. We've played Nickalus and Norman a bunch and have always enjoyed it. Everything was in basically good condition but not really great. I won't be redundant since the previous day's reviews are all in. Just a small design gripe though... While I am a fan of Dye designs and have played well on them I found a few holes to be a bit silly, noteably some of the fairway undulations where my seemingly good tee shot landed but I couldn't see the pin although I was On the fairway. I guess that's part of the challenge here, especially if the rough was taller as I've been told is the case most of the year. I'm glad I played it, but I prefer the other two here more. I do like how vastly different all three courses are here though. The three water holes with the rocks are pretty dramatic. i think I was expecting the whole course to look that dramatic. Unreal expectation, I know. It was great seeing all the GKers again. Really such an awesome group of kind, fun and unpretentious people.

FOOT GOLF IS RUINING GOLF!!!!! 10 foot golfers on one hole six on another with a guy golfing with them. Everyone yelling screaming goofing off soccer balls flying everywhere. This is the stupidest thing a golf course can do. I will NOT be back. If I wanted to go to the park on Sunday afternoon I would. This is a golf course for God's sake!

Played here after a year or more absence. Still such a beautiful course and yep, still very challenging. Customer service here has always been excellent. Pace of play was fine. Seems like most people that play here are decent golfers. Conditions today were fantastic! Greens were smooth and fast, a bit firm as usual, divots repaired. Fairways Much better than I had expected at this time of the year, very good lies all day. Rough excellent at a manageable 2" or so. Tees good, some a bit crowned but nothing terrible. Sand good, typical heavy, damp. Small ice chest on cart, no GPS. Flags are marked red, white, blue and you can see most shots. Great staff, Very enjoyable.
Additionally, the Yamaha carts are excellent, quiet, great brake pedal. Ball cleaners all look new and the club cleaner on the range is maybe a week old, maybe. Kudos to the management and staff here. We had a fantastic day.

Payed a nice round this past Sunday. Excellent customer service as always. Very light tee sheet and the starter let us go early as only a twosome. Flew through the round and even while waiting a bit for group ahead, finished in just over 3 1/2 hours. Cart girl came around often.
FYI- carts have ice buckets, no GPS, but they give you a yardage book and you can see pretty much all your shots. Pins have prisms also to lock in on your range finder.
It was a beautiful day, no wind at all, wispy clouds and barely a sound. Perfect 72 degrees. Kinda surreal feeling.
Greens were excellent and quite fast. Held shots well, soft and true. Greens here are always real nice. Tee boxes level and lush. Fairways beautiful. Rough not real long with the areas around the sand going dormant. Will make for a nice little color contrast in the next few weeks. Sand good. A little heavy, but no rocks.
I always enjoy this course and the service. Great course for women as well at 4841 yards TeaGal has good scoring opportunities.

Played this afternoon in another flawlessly executed GK event. Wish my game today could have executed. Oh well. Good day anyway with friends. Course is nice, very different from the Celebrity, personally I preferred this side. Decent mix of holes, undulation and challenge. Tee boxes well manicured and level, fairways and rough very nice. Enjoyed the 2" or so fescue? rough. Easy to get through. Greens were well manicured but very much slower than practice greens. Sand was hit or miss, mostly miss. Decent sand in most traps, but heavy and wet underneath, some hard and dry. Not really want I would expect from Indian Wells going into season. Cart has cooler, ice, club cleaner and good GPS. Ours started to buck on 13 and severely by 16, had to get pushed off fairway at 18.
My one main complaint was that we teed off with a couple holes open in front of us. Then around 11 Marshall came by reprimanding us that we were a full 3 holes behind. Then came by a second time scolding us. We only saw the group behind us wait for us on maybe the 7th or 8th hole. THEN he goes and tells all our peers that the "first group", us, are a full 3 holes behind and holding everyone up. That was NOT the case. Then he told our friends in one of the middle groups to hit up on the group in front and start pushing them. WHY!? Also when he told us this I looked at the GPS and we were a whole whopping 4 minutes behind pace. Everyone else here was great. No reason for what he said to us and ESPECIALLY no reason to make comments about us to all the groups behind us when we weren't even holding anyone up. Nuff said.

Played here Friday for the first time. I'm a big fan of Snow and Sun and Wold did not disappoint! I LOVE PAIUTE! Other than Dove Mountain (AZ), this is my favorite place to play golf. Conditions were fantastic ball sits so nicely in the fairways. Everything manicured to a perfect length. Greens nice and fast and smooth. Flawless! Sand perfect. Tee boxes immaculate. Rough amazing. Views gorgeous. Layout amazing. Did I say amazing yet?
No houses around, holes apart from each other, just you and this gorgeous, immaculate Pete Dye design... And a little white, er, yellow ball. Can I spread my ashes here when I die?!
Think Wolf is actually my favorite of the three. Although Snow has a special place in my heart since I had my best score there. Can't wait to play here again!!!!!
