Played today at 8am. Very nice condition fairways. Greens roll true but very slow away from the ocean. Traps are decent. Place looked better than I've seen it in awhile.

For years this course was dragged through the gutter by previous managements. This course now has THE BEST greens in North county San Diego. They consistently run 10-11 and smooth as silk. The fairways are unreal and your ball sits up like on a tee. The new Management and new greenkeeper has transformed this golf course into one of the best in Southern California. I play 3 times a week at Torrey, Aviara, La Costa and nearly every other course within 20 miles. You come and play this place and I GUARANTEE you will return many times now that it has been transformed.

The new design. The new design is OK but there's a few things people should know. The greens while nice do not hold shots so play accordingly. The sand traps were all reworked and this is the kicker, all lined in concrete and will rip your wedge apart if you get a thin lie. Why this was done on EVERY sand trap is beyond everyone. Unless you are at least a mid single handicap play from the Gold Tees. You play the Greens or back tees and you will NOT have a pleasant day. If played from the correct tees this is a great course.

The redo was disappointing. This course was reworked last year. HUGE mistake flipping the nines and the greens were hyped up so much it has added 45 minutes to every round. Huge mistake made here.
