Some places just do it the right way, and this course is one of them. The staff so genuinely kind, first rate. The course was in excellent condition a few bare spots just off the some of the greens but no big deal. Pace of play was slow on the front but very good on the back. Thank you Tustin Ranch the very best Birthday deal around.

Played on 8-7-11. 9am and done by noon, nice weather barely got to 100 by the time we finished. Can't beat that in August. Course was in really great shape, pace of play excellent, free range balls and customer service was second to none. Enough said.

Aerification Alert! Greens 13-18 were punched on Monday the 18th. The rest of the greens were good. Fairways on the back nine were good, lots of bare spots on the front nine. Tee boxes in good shape and the bunkers were perfect. Always did love this course the layout is great. It is demanding on your approach shots. If you struggle with iron play you probably will not have the best time here. Most fairways are pretty generous for landing areas, however the greens are elevated, well guarded and undulated. Nice practice area to get started for your round. Played in the am so the wind was calm.

First time playing here, cheap rate on EZLinks. Course is in good shape (very playable). Pace of play was good. Quite a bit of water on the course, however most of it was a short carry off the Tee boxes or behind greens. Costumer service was good and even the people that live in the Del Webb community were very friendly. My wife and I were asked if we needed water by one of the gentlemen sitting out on his patio.(It was 114 out there).overall a good experience. Very odd layout 2900 yds on the front and 3700 on the back nine. Tip for you there are two courses and each one has a seperate clubhouse. Only the Santa Rosa clubhouse side has a driving range. Leave enough time to get through the secutity gate at the front it gets crowded.

If you can stand the heat, its hard to beat Shadow Hills. EZ Links Special $6.65, and forthat you get 18 holes, cart, bottled water, ice cold towels to keep you cool and fabulous customer service. I appreciate when you walk into the clubhouse and they give you the lay of the land and a cheerful greeting. To the course now, this is all about the precise layout of the bunkering and the large greens. The bunkers are lush but if you get pinned behind one of the high faces all these bunkers have it can get difficult especially in the fairways. If not accurate with your irons you could face long putts where it is tough to get the ball to the hole do too the very unpredictable and often slow Tiff Eagle greens. The fairways are pretty wide in most areas and draw very good lie's, only a few bare spots. This is well worth the drive and fuel because of the affordability, so next time your in the desert i suggest trying Shadow Hills.

First of all the customer service was fantastic, the way it should be for a pricier green fee. Pace of play was good about 4 1/2 hours, we waited a bit on some tee boxes but not bad at
all for a Saturday afternoon. Really good layout, a ton of fun to play, accuracy here is at a premium, not a grip it and rip it golf course at all. Fairways were still showing some holes from recent work but very playable, greens a tad bumpy and found out there isn't as much break in the putts as they look. Traps were very playable, remember please rake the traps every one out there, golf without etiquette is not fun. I highly recommend you play this course. Hint to having fun at this course: When you pull up to the first tee and your GPS comes on pay attention to the recommended tee's you should play from by your handicap not the distance shown on the scorecard. HIT IT WELL!

Played on Friday Mid day as a single and got right on, good ettiquete on course, 4 groups offered to let me play through. Good pace of play. Only issues on this course and always has been is the thin bunkers, but know big deal because their not deep. Fairways were in great condition, never a bad lie. Greens rolled good, just a tad bumpy. I would recommend this course for the average golfer, it is forgiving, wide open, and easy on the wallet. Hard to beat the price here. The driving range is wide and all grass which is a plus. Always an enjoyable experience at El Prado.

Layout is really good, pace of play 3 hours on Sunday midday. Greens were pretty good, hopefully the new ownership can invest in some new range balls. Fairways were fair, a little spotty but did not draw any bad lye's. Bunker's were very playable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Click4teetimes special rate $25 is a bargain.

Played on a Sunday morning 9am. I have to give the staff alot of props they were all over
the slow play, there are some golfers however you just can't help. You were penalized at
this course for hitting fairways not a good lie out there, its a shame because it's a fun layout. Greens were bumpy and pretty quick not a good combo. I will make a drive for a course that is worth it, unforetunately the good layout and impecable customer service does not make up for the course conditions.

Played Sunday Morning 6-27-10, no wind and very good conditions. The greens
need a few more weeks, very bumpy and inconsistent but still playable. It is very
tough to catch a bad lye here. Hard to beat the Online special at 6:00am $30. Well
worth the drive. 2 hrs 45 minutes to play. A very enjoyable morning and round. I
recommend this to everyone, it is a good trent jones layout.

Note to self: if you own a golf course in a desert community, water
as valuable as it is, is still required to make the grass grow and try
to hold a tinge of green color, maybe a light brown. Mesquite has
turned into a dirt track with patches of dead grass. Alot like the
field they were playing on in the movie "Sandlot". Other than the
pace of play and some descent bunkers, everything from the tee
boxes to the greens is garbage. I wanted my $22 DOLLARS BACK.
This used to be a great place to play, not anymore. It was a sad
day for me, I will not be back. Woof Woof!!!!!!!

This is a favorite of mine, always in pretty good condition. Layout is fantastic.
Yesterday though I did not have an enjoyable round. The customer service yesterday
was subpar bordering ridiculous. They have a real problem here at the turn and need
to address it. Yesterday it was close to causing a physical confrontation. Thank good-
ness cooler heads prevailed and it stopped after a few F-Bombs. Because of where
the clubhouse is compared to the ninth green it causes a bit of delay which is under-
standable, If a group decides not to use the phone on the ninth tee and goes to the
bar and drinks and waits for food, this is where the problem lies. We played the front
in 2 Hrs. Due to the group who had stopped for who knows how long(The two goups
ahead of us atleast had gone on). This caused a major delay and turned the back nine
into a 2hr. and 45 minute side. I actually went into the clubhouse to see if they were
letting people of the back. No they probably just stopped to eat or something the guy
said. Marshall was no help either, I was hot by that time one of the cutters had walked
back frome the green on 11 to that bunker thats 50 yds back and proceeded to hit my
golf ball I had just layed up with. Since know one at the golf course would listen
yesterday maybe the GM reads the reviews here. Yesterday rubbed me the wrong way
I play here four times a month, belong to the mens club, I have serious thoughts about not
returning. The problem was'nt the foursome who stopped long enough for multiple groups to go ahead of them the problem is how the course handled it when it was brought to there attention. The staff was rude, so much for customer satisfaction.
