Played out there this morning using $89 unlimited underpar voucher. First round at 8:10 had no winds to spark of making the course a wee bit more friendly.

Course conditions were decent...nothing exceptional. Greens rolled good, did note a couple that were sad looking. They are doing maint work on one of the front 9 par 4s and everyone tees up at the forward tee box. First time playing there in 2 years, was suprised to see how they removed the channel from the 18th green.

As always great range and warm up areas. Awesome carts...nice staff.

Played mid morning on July 2nd on another chilly and overcast day. Tobi and I got an awesome caddy named Shawn who took fantastic care of us the entire round.

We did a combo of walking and riding in the cart for this round. Shawn took care of the cart on the holes we wanted to walk and hoofed it when we felt lazy.

This course is just freaking spectacular. I felt incredibly spoiled. Now the holes are not quite as dramatic as Pebble, but this course gives you some of the best "Forest" holes I think you could imagine.

Greens - lightening fast and firm, but our caddy really knew what he was doing. I had 29 putts here and could easily see having around 40 without him.

Bunkers - WOW!!!!! easily the best bunkers I have ever hit out of. I see why the pros love bunkers.

Fairways - not a hair out of place....

Rough - 100% consistent from hole 1 through 18....and perfect...a little long in the deep rough..but hey, that is what you get when you miss that much.

Tee boxes - fine..nothing to complain about here....

Scenary - we saw deer all day long.....Tobi fed some of them....just so cool. I would play this course every day if I could.

Pebble is a course you HAVE to play, but Spyglass is the course I WANT to play.

the rating didn't show up....but I am giving it a 9.9 - 10...oh, just make it a 10..it was perfect.

Played mid morning on Friday July 1st. This was a bucket list vacation for Tobi and I. Upon check-in at the course Friday morning they said the greens had been lightly punched/sanded 2 days ago.....that was somewhat disappointing to hear, but all in all, they rolled okay...a couple of putts rolled a bit wobbly that "might" have gone in otherwise.

we walked the course with Larry our caddy and really got the full experience. The Day was chilly and overcast.

Course conditions were better than okay, but not what I would call exceptional.

Driving Range and Short game area - Awesome!!!

First Tee - your opening shot - Stressful as all get out with the small gathering staring at you with judging eyes.

On Course Facilities - very sub par....I know they have their reasons and what an uphill battle it is to get approval to add anything involving sewage...but kind of a pain.

The Walk - fairly easy, a couple of hilly holes, but straight forward and I would way walking is the way to go.

POP - well despite the 4:30 all over the range balls, plan on 5 hours....ours was 5.25

Glad we did this, but the real highlights are going to be in my next review.

**Just noticed that the rating was a 6, I am not sure how that came out, but I would rate it a 7 (high end of good? or an 8 (low end of great)**

Walked the Course on Sunday 6/12. First time playing here in over 3 years. Usually the POP and conditions would keep me away from here, but I needed a fix for the Golf Bug after playing Saturday. I call it "Redemption Sunday"

$24 rate via Supremegolf.com made it worth the risk.

Course is okay at best

* Tee Boxes - many were dry and patchy
* Fairways - thin in a LOT of areas, mix bag of grasses and weeds
* Rough - thick and wet.
* Goose Poop - WAY too much
* Greens - the best part of the course, you get what you get though after 12pm....a little bumpy around the cup
* Bunkers - fresh sand in all bunkers....nice!!!!

Played out here Saturday 6/11 around 11:15am. POP was great.

* tight course that can play fairly difficult if you cannot stay out of the trees
* Greens are frustrating as there are tons of invisible breaks, luck seemed to play a factor.
* paid $49 for 2some on Underpar....felt like a good value since it did include cart.
* I would play here more often to tighten up my game if I lived a little closer and could avoid the 91.

wife and I played this afternoon, teeing off about 1:15 on a sweet deal on Golfnow, $15 walking rate. fair amount of wind in the afternoon, but still a fun time

Course was in "okay" condition....pretty normal I would imagine for this track. Greens someone slow at the beginning of the round but picked up speed on the back nine.

Tee boxes were fine, fairways mostly on the thin side...

This course doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is...unlike some other OC tracks that think they warrant $100 green fees but appear to be nothing more than a $40 course...

I appreciate the fair price for a fair course.

two words......

"WIND TUNNEL"

Wife and I played here Saturday morning around 8:30am, the forecast had single digit winds until close to noon, then it was supposed to perk up to mid teens.

was over 20 when we hit the parking lot at 7:45 and had gust hitting close to 40mph.

course is pretty decent really, but the wind appears to be ever present.

pretty basic amenities, but by gosh they send some guy out after the round to clean your clubs...worst amenity ever imho.

hard to really give an accurate course review due to the excessive wind.....

I felt as if I would have liked the track well enough on a calmer day.

cart service was frequent, grass range, carts have coolers which was nice.

Played Friday in a fairly constant 20+ mph wind making for a rather challenging round. Trying to give an honest review without taking weather into consideration.

Tee boxes - mostly fine, beat up quite well from white tees
Fairways, really nice, some patchy ares, but mostly lush
Bunkers - a mixed bag, the ones I found had too many stones, nicked my SW really good in one.

Greens - firm, and fast...didn't hold anything. Lots of patchy spots....

Aside from a couple of holes on the back 9, I found this course a bit overrated...lot of hype and it didn't quite live up to it.

Carts have gps, no cooler, no beverage service, no restrooms on the course.....so be prepared.

Finally made it out here to play..wow...wow....wow..worth ever penny. Conditions were, simply fabulous. From tip to toe, everything was top shelf.

Teed off at 8:50, so no wind to really speak of.

Driving range was decent even though it is irons only. Stay was so friendly and the bar area was great....highly recommended and take me with you

Keith gave a really nice review. I don't have a lot to add, but will simply state:

I liked this course and would rate it at an $80-$90 value.

Greens - smooth, deceptively straight putts.

Nice clubhouse.

Carts - basic, no gps, no cooler.

Range - nicer mats, narrow range, very nice practice greens to work on your speed.

Made the drive out Saturday morning to play this course for the first time. Staff at check-in was very nice and welcoming. Grass driving range was a plus.

Course Conditions - excellent. Great grass all around. I very much enjoyed playing the course itself.

POP - not good...bad actually...5.25 hours. No marshall.

Beverage cart came around plenty of times.

Carts are basic, no gps or cooler.

Played Monday morning with Tobster, Sbogey, CPennbo. My first time playing the course.

Range - Grass, but pretty chewed up Monday morning.
Carts - no GPS, has a cooler though
Tee boxes, 50/50 - some where hard as a rock and others were fine. Mostly level.
Fairways - decent, lot of hard and tight lies but occasionally you would find yourself on a nice fluffy patch of grass.
Sand - not very good at all....it looked like sand, but behaved like dirt. Lots of pebbles. I wasn't a fan.
Rough - maybe the best part of the course, very playable.

Green complexes - this is where the course has its teeth. found the greens non-receptive to approach shots all day. very tight. Speed was fast and so challenging to judge. left a bad taste in my mouth.

we drove 1.5 hours to play here. would I do it again? no....
if I am going that direction I am going to play Morongo.

Hole layout is fine...I rather liked it...hole 16 and 17 are the 2 prettiest holes in my opinion.

you need some course experience on this track..you absolutely need to know where to put the ball to have a reasonable chance to score well.
