I play this course once a month because i am a member of Club Corp through Desert Falls.
Even though they allow fivesomes it never plays in more than four hours. Is there any public course in the area that plays in four hours or less unless you are on Dawn Partrol? If there is please email me.

Great place to play in the area. Didn't want to write a review about how good it is because then maybe more people would play it but don't want to get kicked off the Guru list.

Played the Navy Course many times just down the street and I don't know really what to say about the difference. How about night and day.

Played in the GK event yesterday. First time for us. Dave and Phil were nice to play with.
Thanks to Johnny GK for setting up a nice fun time.

On to the course. For a muni course the course was in good condition especially for the desert in May. No complaints about anything except we played the front nine in less than two hours and then from the 10th tee on we waited on every hole. We were the first GK group off so anybody who played yesterday that is reading this, IT WAS NOT US.

I think the hardest part of the course is the greens on many of the holes. If you are on the wrong side then it is a guaranteed three putt.

Wife and I played 3/17 at 11:30 a.m. ; big mistake. pace of play very slow; course not in really good shape. quit after 15 holes when we reached our four hour time limit; remember when 18 holes used to take four hours. When we went to the 16th there were two groups waiting. Went by the 18th green on the way out and nobody was on the hole.

Had a single join my wife and I on the second hole. Hit 300 yards drives but they were all over the course. Hit one more bomb onto the other fairway on the 13th hole and then drove away.

Had a another single join us the fourth hole. He quit after about his fourth beer which was at the 14th hole.

Anyway, I guess if you are first off in the morning you are OK but forget about the rest of the day.

Good a good deal on Golf Now but I am thinking that when I have to be in the area I will just break down and pay more to play Goose Creek or a course of that quality.

Starter was very nice and so was the course marshal but I won't be going back again.

Course is in good condition except for one problem. Most of the green side bunkers wer comapacted, wet, and some still had water in them. Couple that with bunkers at least six feet deep and you get the picture.

Other than that the course was fine.

Is it the Wild Wild West or a third world nation?

Played there today 1/21. A single joined my wife and I. Played the first seven holes without waiting. Then we ran into a twosome waiting for seven players, yes a sevensome.

Called the pro shop and by the time we got to the ninth hole they broke up into a threesome and foursome.

The twosome ahead of us bailed out after the ninth hole.

Went to the tenth tee. A new foursome we never saw was on the tee. Huh?

And there were two threesomes waiting to tee off ahead of us. They left saying they were going to the Butterfield course and we were ready to tee off.

Just about when the new foursome was down the fairway the two threesomes drove up again and said sorry but they were teeing off. Said they were fast and would play a sixsome to stay ahead of us. I would have debated/fought with them but I am 61 years old.

Went back to the pro shop and asked for a refund since somebody allowed three groups to start on the tenth tee.

Pro shop seemed confused. Nice older fellow who was the starter refunded our entire round and said he didn't know what happened. He didn't seem happy about it but nobody took charge to resolve the problem.

Maybe need to add a security guard/marshall or somebody to stop a clusterf___ like this.

Been playing this course twice a month or so for eight years.

Strange to say the least. Oh I almost forgot; the greens were very good but the rest of the course is marginal.

Play at El Prado once a month. Interesting course. Played Butterfield today.

Most of the fairways are like the cow pastures that used to surround the course. However, the greens are in very good condition. Didn't get in the sand around the greens but it looked ugly.

Other golfers were interesting too. Some players had their radios/boom boxes. Don't know why they think others like ZZ Top etc. Played behind a foursome that must have shot a 120 per person but they actually moved in less than 5 hours. Caught up to them after six holes which is why the pace of play was OK. 4 hours on a Sunday teeing off at 11:00 a.m.

Only reason I think this course will survive is because they can't build houses there. Think Empire Lakes.

This course used to be private for 50 years but is now semi-private. It is still a nice course but I played it a few years ago when it was private and I can see the difference.

Course is still in good condition. Greens are very hard to read. Pace of play on a Sunday afternoon, June 4 was just over three hours which is much better than the public courses in the Inland Empire.

Noticed cut backs in service staff but I guess that is how the new owners must find a way to make a profit.

If this course wasn't located in San Bernardino it would have remained private and would be full of members. Just compare its location to Redlands CC a few miles away.

I will play again next time I am in the area.

Good course. Played on 6/16. Very few players out after 10:00 a.m . but it was hot.

Fun course that I would play again.

Greens were punched two weeks prior but had recovered nicely.

Course was in good condition.

Played last Tuesday. Very windy day but it didn't ruin the great experience of this course.

If it was in OC or LA it would be a $100 round. Worth the drive. Would play it again.

Customer service great. Course in great condition for end of May.

Played today 8/4/15. Course is what it is. Greens are coming back.

Played behind the Men's club and there were a bunch of fivesomes.

Played in 4 hours and 30 minutes because we quit at after the 16th hole.

The only positive was seeing 20 plus handicappers playing the blue tees and hacking it all over and asking why, why, why are they that stupid.

I don't get it.

My mistake I should have called first and Butterfield is closed for aerifiying.

Nice course usually for a nice price but not that much fun waiting in 95 degree weather.

This is a must play if you are in Reno. Trent Jones design. 15th hole is amazing.

This is a fun course. Not too hard but very different elevation changes and in good condition for a less expensive course People are friendly and welcome tourists. Would play it again.
