Played twilight. The group in front of us was super fast so we had no wait at each tee. (no, we weren't slow) Course is in great shape. Fairways and teeboxes were excellent except for so unrepared divots at the tees which is normal. The fairway rough was manageable, about 2 inches. The greenside rough was pretty long. Two of my playing partners had a tough time getting out of it at times. Bunkers were decent. Previous groups didn't rake properly so I had some tough lies to deal with. Traps seemed to have only a thin layer of dry sand before hitting moist sand. Greens were ok. Some are still bumpy from aeration, but most were smooth and medium to fast speed. Overall a great round. Can't wait to get back.

The course is pretty beat up. Lots of unfilled divots in the fairways and tee boxes. A lot of the tee boxes weren't level. The greens weren't too bad. Some still have a fair amount of sand on them. Bunkers actually have real sand as opposed to dirt and were very easy to play out of. The course was empty. I played 18 in about 3 hours by myself.

Paid $17 to play Torrey North. Can't beat that deal. Positives: Fairways were in good shape. The rough was deep, but still playable. Negatives: Greens were a little lumpy. Some tee boxes weren't level. Bunkers were a mess from players not raking properly. Overall, it was a fun round. A lot better than working!!

Greens were puched a week or two ago and they were bumpy. Everything else about the course was in good shape except for a few uneven tee boxes and some water damage from heavy rains a few weeks ago. I like the course layout. There are a few tough driving holes and hidden dangers when playing for the first time like i was. overall a good round.

The course is in really good shape. Greens were smooth, fairways were lush and the rough wasn't as long as the last few times I played there. I actually didn't lose a single ball the whole round. I hear they are aerating soon so get there quick.

Greens are in good shape. Much faster than expected. There were a few bumps, though. Fairways are in good shape. Not as many bare spots than usual. Tee boxes were chewed up, but I guess that's expected with a late Sunday tee time. Overall a good value for the $24 I paid.

Overall, the course is in great shape except for some greens which had bare spots which made putting a crap shoot. Fairways were wide and in great shape. The rough wasn't too penalizing. I didn't have a problem with the dirt bunkers, but my partners were complaining about them the whole time. Nice easy layout compared to others.

i can't really rate the fairways properly since i only hit 2 all day. it was frustrating having to look for your ball after every tee shot since the rough was so thick. the greens were in great shape. course is in great condition. too bad my game isn't.

5 hr round on a monday. Course is in decent shape. Greens were bumpy at times, but nothing too bad. Tee boxes were torn up.

Should have known better than to play on a holiday. Took over 5.5 hrs to play. Greens were in pretty good condition for this course.

Balboa was better than average. Greens were in good condition even with the top dressing. There were thin spots all over the course, but nothing too bad.

Didn't know women's club was playing that morning. Had to wait 2.5hrs to get on. Well worth the wait for a super nice course with cheap fees.
