d%mn you Johnny Miller! If you heard him say, Torrey greens don't really break to the ocean...you'll be as frustrated as I was today. 5 3-putts today!

Boy was it gorgeous today after the morning fog. Tee boxes, fairways, rough...greens...i really enjoyed this North course more than the south for the course itself. As far as a challenge, the south is much tougher. South also has a better view....BUT, it's tough as rocks and when the walk is pretty brutal.

I can't wait to go back and play it again...remember, stay below the hole and everything breaks to the ocean!

GC is always a gem. I wonder why I don't play here more often. To a beginner, the course can be perceived as a pushover. The greens have subtle undulations, the bunkers are strategic, and the wind will always cause a 2nd guessing of club selection..

You never see this course on golfnow or click4teetimes because they don't need to discount their course to get players. Just pay up...and enjoy.

6 hours and 15 minutes. 35 minutes behind on tee off. 11:15 tee time and made the last tap in with barely any light.

If you come with the expectation of a 6 hour round, you'll be A-OK. But with so many courses in So Cal, I will not revisit La Mirada again.

Just finished on Sunday early afternoon in 5.5 hours. Cart path only because of the rain and muddy in many areas. If you haven't played before, you might judge the scorecard as if this is a push over course. Boy is it not though. If boobie size is an analogy for greens, then meadowlark greens are nerdy asian women. Tiny. that means, layup to your favorite wedge yardages..you're going to need to be precise.

Greens are in great condition for the amount of play. Go with a lot of patience and enjoy this unique little course.

Here's a bet for you....

People yelling FORE on this course....20, over or under?

I'm sorry, but if you said under, you haven't played at Willowick. Combine very tight holes with beginners equals...."you better have a quick juke move". We heard FORE 24 times....and probably a dozen times we didn't hear FORE but should have!

Besides that, this course is slow slow slow. You're talking about average 5.5 hour rounds on weekends. No marshalls.. no cart girls. You're out here to hack it? Get me.

However, the course is easy to walk and it makes you feel good about yourself. Knowing those expectations, you should have a decent time. Oh yah, don't get into the sand...brutal.

Just finished playing all three 9's here and last reviewer is correct that Stonehouse is punched. We still played it anyway and the layout is exceptional. I cannot wait til greens heal...it's really challenging with tight fairways, uneven lies, blind tee shots, and brutal sloping greens.

Oak and Creek were in excellent conditions. Greens were fast and true. Layout requires many draw tee shots and the rough is not too penalizing.

Great course and we'll definitely return in the future.

It's the most scenic executive course I have ever played. If you got a beginner and want them to be impressed, take them here. Bow chika wow wow!!!

Got out early this morning in 32 degrees and finished a round as twosome in a little over 3 hours. No one in front or behind on 744am tee time Thursday.

Due to the heavy rains, the conditions of the fairways were wet and cart path only. However, the greens were very nice, smooth, fast, and rolled true. A real tight course and if you don't hit it straight, get ready to be absolutely screwed. This is a gem and I can't wait to come back for revenge.

Torrey pines rough redefined rough for me. Previously, rough means, not a perfect lie on the fairway. Torrey rough means probably a 80 percent chance you'll lose your ball. It's especially difficult because you don't have tv crew, caddies, or spectators helping you find your ball. Of course, it's only like this for the farmers open in a few weeks.

Is it worth it though? Hell yes for the 61 bucks resident rate. Ocean views on almost every hole and nearly perfect greens. Even for 200 bucks, I will say it's worth it once. You can finally relate to how why you have a day job and the pros are pros.

Jay Miller needs to go back here and clean this place up. I seems like only a couple weeks but the course conditions are the worst I"ve ever seen here.

We teed off today at 10 and finished in 5 hrs. The difference in playing at peak time versus twilight is...playing behind Caucasians versus playing behind Koreans. The greens are very bumpy and pitch marks are everywhere. The greens played fast but being so bumpy, nothing held true to the line.

The fairways are dormant and the tee boxes are a disgrace to golfers.

The customer service was great and saw the cart girl several times.

I used to love this course for the unique layout and excellent conditions. Unfortunately, now it's only worth it if you have significant discounts.

They have an amazing special right now for 28 bucks in order to attract people out to this place. Probably top 5 golf deals of the year. We got out Saturday at 8am and finished in a little under 4.5 despite a slow foursome 2 groups ahead. The marshals were on point all day and pushing pace along....rare these days.

The conditions today are not as great as three weeks ago. Greens were bumpy on the short holes b/c of many "wrongly repaired marks". However, these greens still beat out 75% of the courses in So Cal. The holes look tight on the tee but there are some wiggle room. Rough is definitely long and lush..must keep an eye out on the drive to ensure you can find your ball.

A gem and a must return visit. For 29 bucks, this rate is unbelievable. Eagle crest...well done.

I played early wed am as the 4th group out and finished a little under 4 hours walking. The greens and sand are in the best shape I've ever seen it. What a difference in playing this course in the am versus pm. The wind is down and the pace is fast. The fairways were a hit and miss but the greens rolled true (minus number 3). Great value to walk for 25 on a weekday!
