course is shaping back up. fairways are seeing signs of becoming green again, tee boxes are better than usual. the greens were suprisingly good on many of the holes. yet there is still alot of work to be done by the greenskeepers.

rock hard greens, that roll pretty fast, some new teee boxes that are still not leveled. many of the fairways were hard and bare.

may gopher holes, but overall a fun course, long par fives. Greens were in good shape.

Rock hard greens that are super quick. Everything else was very poor, fairways, and rough were very thin. Tee boxes were slopped and bare in many areas.

great greans, everything else was poor- including the slopped tee boxes, bare fariways, lack of rough and hard sand traps.

the greens at encino are great, wickedly fast at some points, must be below the hole to score today. The rain did do some damage to the course, some trees were torn down and the bunkers are mini water hazards. The pace of play, about 5 hours was good for the weekend. There is also a 90 degree cart rule in effect due to all the rain. But unfortunately, the fairways are dry and thin, and the tee boxes are typical for the city, sloped, bare and just a pity. Encino is a great layout, but only if the course was as good as their greens.

this used to be a good course. They kept the course up well for a while after the renovation, but this course has fallen apart. The tees boxes are covered in sand, you have to really search for a flat part. The fairway are thin and may are muddy. The greens were the worst I have ever seen them. The greens were speed was inconsistent, a few hole fast a few were slow. The greens were all torn up. Many ball marks, and hole all over the place. You really didn't have a put with a smooth line. The only good thing was the pace of play, played in under four hours, it could ahve even been quicker but we had a bunch of nuts on cell phones the whole time, please leave the cell phones at home. Overall, I was not happy with the course, it used to bea great course that was fun to play, the layout is still great but there is alot of work to be done. Sorry, for the harsh comments, but the course has fallen apart.

played this course on halloween
fun layout, some course knowledge is good. They just overseeded all of the rough, so put it this way, if you are in the rough you can hit about 7 irons out of it. The greens are nice, be below the hole. There are two risk reward holes, 4 and 14, you can cut alot off of both with big drives. All putts break toward the ocean, if it looks straight it will break to the ocean just a bit. Overall alot of fun, not really long but it puts a premium on accuracy.
