Played Dec 23 late in afternoon and into evening for $20, lights are a good thing. The neat thing about this par 3 course is you can pull just about any club to hit while playing a round. Holes range from 100-230 yards. It was very windy which makes things interesting when balls are blown 30 yards off line. Or, hitting a 5 iron into a 140 yarder and the same 5 iron into a 195 yard hole (still blew it long by 10 yards LOL).

The tee boxes are in pretty decent shape. Some are in need of leveling, nothing that can't be dealt with. Almost no hazards except for out of bounds and a lake that fringes 8, 9, 17 & 18. The 195 yard 13, known as the ball eating MFer :), seems to eat a lot of balls, both in the oleanders along the left side and OB left.

One thing about this course, patrons apparently hate to fix ball marks. It flat out sucks in that respect. Bunch of lazy POS, IMHO. Nothing like having to fix 4 ball marks in your line on a 15 foot putt. The greens were bikini waxed, rolling insanely fast. Add in the crazy wind gusts and you have a recipe for excitement on the greens. Don't dare be above the hole! Getting a ball barely started on line could have you 30+ feet away by the time it was done with it's wind-aided walkabout.

I like the course for working on my irons. A friend just started golfing and it's a decent course that isn't penal for him as well. Being relatively flat, it's also a very easy walk. We tend to play here year round about 3 times a month on average.

Played in the GK year end event and had a great time. I was fighting a very bad lower back. I almost didn't show, I'm glad I did - complete with a TENS unit firmly attached. I had some painful moments... my horrid golf shots!!! :) I have to thank Mark, Jeff and Lee for their patience. A great group to play a round of golf with on an incredible December desert day. Thank you Johnny for putting on the event.

The practice facility was one of the nicest I've ever been on. The staff was great, very helpful and courteous.

The course was the nicest visually I've ever been on. I enjoyed playing and thought it was strange to only pull a driver maybe 6-8 times. Hit a bunch of hybrids off the tees. The 12th hole as mentioned is a strange layout. Missed closest to the pin by 6 feet to my cart partner Mark, great shot in there! Not to mention his mid 70's score for the round. Mark was a machine!

Fairways, tee boxes and rough were all good by me. I thought the greens varied greatly from one hole to the next and on the slower side. The local muni greens are faster right now. I'm usually pretty solid on pace and really struggled. I agree with 1plus1 here, they were not the best in regards to consistency or speed. Some greens had plenty of unrepaired marks, especially 11. Poor green needed some Pro-activ. The rest of the experience was very good.

Sand in the bunkers was very good.

Great to meet the rest of the GK gang, it was a pleasure to talk with those I met. I'll definitely plan on attending future GK events. If they let me, I'd play with the three others in our group anytime. Good people. On a side note, I figured my back would be torched Sunday night... I actually felt better and have all week. The event may have been the nectar to recovery! Thanks again for a great event.

Played the north course on 8/27. Played as a single around 8am and made it around in 2 hours. Some great green fees to be had from online services. There was nobody on the course except two players a couple holes behind me. It did get pretty hot by 10am, but glad to be off the course by them.

First time playing here and I was impressed with the course. It can be a ball eater for errant shots. Plenty of water to send them swimming. If you want to practice your iron game, this is a really good track. I hit everything from a gap wedge to 3 hybrid off the tees.

The course was in really nice shape. Tee boxes were great. Greens were soft and rolled very nice. Plenty of bite when hitting greens. One green was in rough shape, I think it was 15? Why do people fail to fix ball marks!!!! Did plenty of housekeeping because I can't stand looking at the green that are beat up. Otherwise the green grass was in really good shape. Three bunkers I visited had decent sand in them with the usual un-raked/footprint sections... appears to be a theme. :)

Nice place, good service, I'd definitely play here again.

Played Sunday 3/27 for the first time. Not real long, narrow and challenging. Greens were nice, fairways in good shape and enjoyed the round. Tough place to walk with some severe distance between holes and hilly IMO. Will play it again.

Played on 2/13 contending with the Winternationals next door at the Fairgrounds. The course was a mess due to the heavy rains, particularly on #1, 8, 11 and 15. Standing water in the fairways. The greens were decent, with many ball marks due to lazy patrons who REFUSE to fix their marks and be respectful to others. Some things never change!!!! Rating is skewed because of the fairways being underwater. Probably a decent track without the the rain damage.

Place is rough. You get what you pay for at this course. It's inexpensive. The ground is rock hard in spots and the greens are decent at times. Tough place to walk with all the elevation changes.

Decent place to play if you don't mind the flood control channel

Nice course for a decent walk. Not too tough and good for sharpening game by playing to spots. No water = few lost balls

Decent course and easy walk. Greens were not real good because of lazy people who don't fix ball marks. Losers...
