Played 7/2/22 7:20 am POP 3:50 min. $85. Course is in overall great shape. Fairways green and have full coverage. An occasional dry/burnt area along the edges, but they caused no issues. A little on the firm side with great roll out, but very nice to hit from. Mostly firm green carpet. Greens firm, but manageable with well struck shots. Ran at a medium fast pace with excellent roll. Really enjoy these new greens even though short siding yourself can come with a penalty here. Traps in excellent shape & consistent. Tees were the only week part, but no real issues caused. Just some were a little uneven, thin and or a little on the beat-up side. Temps were perfect on this day. An EASY RECOMMEND!

Played 6/25/22 4:20 pm. Got the round in with about 15 min. of day light left. Course is over in very good to great condition. Greens held shots great and ran around medium pace. A little bumpy, but overall decent and with a predictable roll. Some greens have burnt areas along edges, but seldom caused any issues. Fairways in beautiful shape with good coverage. A few dry/ brown areas, but mostly in great shape. Traps a mix of good and dry packed. Tees are always a week spot. Today seemed to be "Let's put them in the most uneven spot day". Temps are pretty warm, but twilight is an awesome time to be on this course. Easy recommend.

Played 6-11-22 6:45 am. $90 Course is in it's typical good shape. Fairways mostly green with fair to good coverage. Many bare/dead areas but seldom caused any issues. Mostly good lies. Greens in good shape. receptive. Running medium pace and only a little bumpy. Was in a couple of traps and both were good. Noticed a few are firm. A couple of the Tees were set in very uneven spots. Very curious? Overall in very decent to good shape.

Played 5/15/22 10 am. $100 First off, I don't know how long ago they installed the new entertainment area ,but I thought it was a pretty cool idea. They created about 8-10 covered hitting bays, about 1/3 of the driving range. Installed heaters, couches, TVs and monitors with Top tracer tech. I'm guessing you can play hitting games to the existing pole markers in the range. Kind of "Top Golf ish". Turned a small container onto a bar w/ a deck on top and around it with a seating area for outside eating and they had a band playing. Looked like a good time could be had there with a group of people.
The course was in overall good to great shape. Fairways had full coverage, but are drying out as previously mentioned. There were a few areas in a couple of the fairways that were completely soaked. Standing water soaked. The carts had wakes in front of them on Hole three.
Greens were very receptive. Ran at a solid medium pace, but a couple of rolls had few bumps along their path from the Poana. Traps & tees were good. Saw the cart girl twice. $100 seemed a little steep, but the course was in fine shape.

Played in the GK Plays with Tom & Mark. We had a great time. Course was in fantastic shape. Fairways lush with only an occasional thinner spot. Greens were very firm. Difficult to create enough stopping power and needed to play the roll out. Was in A LOT of sand on this day. I think I found a bunker on all but two holes on the front. They were in very good shape and were not difficult to get out of. This resort continues to be a pleasure and a great example of fantastic desert golf.

Played 4/29/22 3:30 Just got the round in before dark. Course is very good shape over all.
Fairways are a mixture of green & brown grass with mostly good to great coverage. Greens are mostly healed from aeration. A few still had sand residue visible and a couple still had a few punch holes that had not healed over yet. But mostly in good to great shape. Easy recommend.

Played 4/23/22 2:50 $35 walking. Course was in over all decent shape. Fairways a woolly mixture of green grass, dry grass & dirt, but found mostly good lies. Greens had full coverage. Mostly receptive. Ran at medium slow and a little bumpy. A fun Exec. course with a little bite to it if you stray off line. Easy walking course.

Played 4/15/22 2 pm $25 9 holes w/ cart. Course is coming out of winter dormant. Fairways a mix of green , tan and bare spots. They have good coverage & I found mostly decent grass. Greens very lush, receptive and SLOW. Fun little 9 hole "Muni" style course. No one out on this day and I played the 9 in about 1.5 hrs. They used to have two flags on each green. First 9 and second 9 pins, but they only had the one today. A short course and a fun place to go swing the clubs.

Played 4/9/22 2:10 POP a tad over 4 hrs. Course is coming out of its non-overseed winter. Fairways were mostly green and filling in. Many thin/bare spots around but found mostly good lies. Greens were in very good shape but VERY firm. Very hard to get any stoppage on shots but if you play the distance -10 yrds. you can often get better looks at the hole. Unless the pin is up front with many of the green complex's having mounds in front that can deflect short shots. I've really come to embrace and enjoy the challenges of the new design. If the greens can get a little more receptive, it will even be better. They were running medium fast and very true. It will be interesting to see if the upcoming aeration will make any difference. Traps were in great shape and the new sand makes getting out predictable. As mentioned in previous reviews. Short siding yourself on these green complexes will make your day adventurous. If the pin is near an edge, play for middle! The $85 Rack rate is a little steep, but unfortunately is becoming the average costs these days. It is very sad to see the tree gone on the 9th fairway. I was worried that it would be removed during the construction and was glad to see it remained for reopening. But sadly, it took a huge turn for the worse and died to many of the local's delight. I was not one of them. Look forward to post aeration and would recommend waiting.

Played 3-20-22 12:30. Course was pretty rough all around. Fairway grass was green, but patchy with many bare spots around. Rough was a very mixed bag from dirt to tall weeds.
Greens were in decent shape. Had very good coverage and receptive. Ran at about medium slow, but very bumpy from the seeding Poana. Traps were weed filled hard pan depressions. Tees were very chewed up and mostly uneven. Pace was a little above 4 hrs. Per usual the greens were the best part of the course. The rest was the worst I've ever seen it. It is still very playable and a good track. It often improves as spring rolls around and the grass grows a little better. If you can find a good deal, you can still have fun. A tough recommend at this time.

Played 12/5/21 7:50 with a 2 hr. frost delay, so a 9:50 tee off. Fairways are mostly dormant but with decent to good coverage. They were mostly on the "Cut tight" side, but still played fine with very good roll out. I encounter little to no issues. Greens are in very good to great shape. They were slightly softer than they have been. They rolled very true at a perfect pace IMO. The new greens have many contours to them and can be tricky if you're in the wrong spot. Traps were in great shape and consistent. The course is in really great winter playing shape overall.
Easy recommend. Thanks Johnny and Matt for setting this up, And a very big thanks to SVR for a great day and a tasty box lunch.

Played 11/29/21 10 am Shotgun GMoose deal. First time playing the course and it was a lot of fun. Numerous elevation changes and a few forced carries, but course is on the short side. Played with two of my sisters and I thought the Yellow tee boxes were a little unfair with the required carries. Don't let the shortness fool you. If you're not hitting it in control you will find plenty of trouble. Like Matt had written, read the tip sheet first time around.
The shorter sunlight day's have put the course in a somewhat "Soggy" condition. Good coverage in fairway's, with some areas thin and muddy. Lots of mud balls on this day. Greens were in overall great shape and receptive. Noticed a couple of them had small 2" dead spots scattered around, but they did not cause any issues. A really fun "Target" mountain golf course. It's a little amazing on how and where they built this course. Look forward to try it again.
