I used to really enjoy the course, but it seems to have let itself go slightly. Greens were kinda patchy and slow, but were very soft and held shots well. Fairways had plenty of divots in spots and good in others. Tee boxes were semi decent. The design is ok, but not my favorite layout. I have seen this course in much better shape in the past. It may be a while before I come back to the Babe. After playing each of these courses a couple times, I think I enjoy the Ike much better. If I play here again, it will be the Ike, when the conditions get better.

I don't think I can ask for better conditions from a course really. Now that I look back on the round, I don't have any complaints from tee to green, course is in great shape. My only negative is on Ridgeline with the layout and some deceiving tricks that only local knowledge can help, such as areas where you can't see whats at the bottom of a slope or where the apparent right shot from a tee ends up OB. I guess I just need to get out there more often. Great place for the course, nice and quiet, had great temps in late July. Classy looking place from the drive in to the horse silouettes on the range. Greens were challenging, but the style I like. Greens holds balls pretty well, can be soft in many areas. Bunkers were perfect: hard packed fairway bunkers and very soft greenside. I had an almost completely hidden ball in one of them, barely 1/2" showing, super soft sand. Rough was great, and consistent. Spent much time there and was able to get a driver on the ball well from the rough multiple times. Cart girl showed up very often. Although this place is far away, it is always a favorite, and am sure I will be back for a future GK event here.

Played on a Sunday at 11, finished at about 4. Fairways are nice and green, yet a bit hard. Rough was decent, yet inconsistent. The greens were bumpy and splotchy. Most putts will have to encounter some difficulty trying to get home because of how the greens are right now. Nice course to relax at and play, some trouble, but pretty fair. It's an easy walk, although I rode today because of a free cart. Will play here again, but hopefully the greens get better in time for the GK outing.

Had a great time playing with 6 other GK'ers here at the 'Player's Course' tee's. The even further forward tees did help take a lot of the big ditches and intimidating tee sots away. It was also nice to be able to hit smaller irons into greens instead of a hybrid every time. Was able to get more par's than usual, although there is some think bermuda rough near the greens that may cause one to double chip a couple of times. The fairway was great. Played at 4 pm, and finished in under 4 hours. Greens were good, but obvious trampling after a long day. Tee boxes can use a little work. I didn't get into the sand so also have no comment. I nice course, in good shape right now, and great weather currently. At least 15 degrees cooler than the valley. Had a great time here and a lot more fun teeing it up closer, makes scoring a bit better and am able to use my smaller clubs more often and get a few birdie attempts.

This review is for the first 1/3 of the course. Played in the SilverRock GK outing for about an hour and a half. Started off at noon on hole 1 with 20 mph winds, then got to about 2000 mph by hole 6. Worst they said they seen. Besides this fluke of nature, I found the course to be in great shape and ready for us. Fairways were great, as was the greens. Bunkers were a little harder packed than the practice bunkers, but by the end of hole 6, i saw the grey bottom of the bunker due to the winds. I can't wait to play here again when nature doesn't have a tantrum. Layout seemed fun, fair, and challenging. I will be back for redemption without the wind here later this year.
At least the fairways and greens got a nice top layer of sand today. They may need to replace a small tree I saw blowing down the 1st fairway.

Nice course layout here and you get lots of time to enjoy it. Hard course to walk, but at least you get a 5 minute break at each tee box to rest. Over 6 hours to play here, at a rate like that, one can lose their groove or even desire to keep going. The course itself is one I like, although the conditions overall are pretty average. Not much of a flat lie anywhere on the course at all. The greens were pretty quick and rolled well for me, the highlight of the course. Some fairways were soaked in poopy smelling mud, not fun there.

Great course for a casual round. A short course, at not much over 5000, and a par 70. Most par 4's are right around the 300 mark, meaning you can drive it close or play 2 easy irons to the greens. Greens and fairways are in great condition and nothing to complain about. Course is easy to walk on the front 9, but you will get a little tired the last few holes.

Played 1/30 in the on and off rain. Even with the rain, the greens were still pretty speedy, which is my style. Love the fairways, as there are parts where you can and I did, putt from about 100 yards out. The fairways were great for the couple I was in. Rough was inconsistent as some places was thick, some nice and perfect, and some bare. Bring extra balls, because most average golfers will lose a few to ESA's or mountains. Good times with the league play today as always.

Decent course. The greens to me were nice, rolled smooth and quick and not patchy. Fairways were pretty weak. Lots of hard areas and way too many divots, almost penalizing to hit the fairway, as the rough at times was better to hit out of. Bunkers were a bit too hard packed for my taste and tee boxes were divot marked a lot, had to back my tee up a bit so I wasn't stepping in a divot already there. Course itself plays well for me, as there are plenty of trees to knock down my sliced drives or other fairways to hit from. Not a place I'd drive that far for if I didn't have to though. Maybe if I was a local resident.

What a course! This should be the standard to refer to for conditions. Perfect conditions here. I played 18 earlier in the day, then came here are 12:45 and finished all 18 just before dark. This course puts the other to shame. Fairways were green and lush throughout all 18, in the end of December. Greens rolled very well and rough was just as lush. Bunkers were to only concerns. Nice soft white sand, but not much of it. A very hard base with a slight soft sand layer on top. Layout is fun and not the same for every hole. Great views of the mountains and desert from all angles. It is so quiet and peaceful out there, which is in the middle of nowhere. I would love to come back to play here again.

Fun round today with Caligolfer and another friend. 3some was first out, but frost delayed us till 8:30. Was able to get around in 3 hours. Clubhouse is nice and I was met walking to the clubhouse to have my bag taken and put on a cart with my name on it. Range is decent, grass with a few targets to hit at. Putting green was large with plenty of challenges in itself with their undulations.
The course itself is nice. Great views of either the strip in the distance, or mountains on the other side. Plenty of elevation up here as well, your ball may go a bit more than you think it would. Tee boxes were good. Fairways were pretty patchy. Some areas great green grass, others dry yellow. Pretty patchy throughout the 18 holes. Greens were firm and will only hold shots that come down from a high angle, all others will get lots of roll, possibly rolling though the green. Rough is good, throughout.
Carts have no GPS and you have to go sprinkler hunting for distances if you don't have your own GPS system.
Layout is unique and course knowledge will help tremendously. Some views off the tee show areas that look like they may open up, but don't. Many short par 4's, but these have plenty of trouble like multiple bunkers or water in front.
Had a good time. For the resident rate of 70, it is a good deal, but for rack rate of 150, I would personally probably spend my cash at other Vegas courses in better condition for a bit less.

Perfect day of golf here at Oak Quarry today. Great customer service as I barely got out of the car and someone was already asking to help with the bag. Got to the main course area and cart was set up with some range balls to drive away. Driving range is very nice, as it is grass and all downhill to make your warmup shots look great. Putting green had good breaks and a reminded that everything breaks east, no matter what. Everything that was green was in awesome shape. Tee's, plush fairways, good rough, and my style of greens. The fairway bunkers were hard, which I like, but had some rocks, which I don't like. Greenside bunkers had decent sand, but get it high, because many have tough lips to get over. I love the layout and if I could get out more often and had a bit of cash, this course would be in constant rotation. Great relaxing day of golf, playing with fellow GK'ers JohnnyGK, Lithatt, and KViser. Cart girl came around at least 4 times, and the burger/fries at the end was the perfect ending to my favorite round of the year.
