They have added a creek to the already difficult 18th hole, which in my opinion, they should make into a par 5, instead of a par 4. Tough to get to as it is nestled back in the hills, but its a great track nonetheless, would be nice to see them spend some on making the course easier, not harder.
I played here last Tuesday and felt that the course was in good condition. I believe they are overseeing this week. The greens are not as good as I remembered them to be, but the course seemed to be in good condition overall. The course was not as wet as I remember it to be either, there were some brown spots, but it played hard and fast. Except for greens... Those were soft and medium speed. Number 14 is a neat hole.
The golf course obviously needs more time to heal from overseeding. I think they didn't do a really through job overseeding because they are selling this golf course. It was strange that my green fees were free for buying a shirt. I am assuming this is a standard deal since they are trying to get rid of their logo shirts, but it seems backward. I didn't ask any questions since it was such a good deal, but just seems weird. I love the layout at this golf course, and hope that the new owner will put some money in to fix the neglected areas.
I have played this golf course for a long time and this course is in excellent shape. I played on 9/19, just a couple of days after they had a PGA championship tournament and the greens were very smooth and fast. They seem to have done quite a bit of work to the bunkers as they were very playable and easy to hit out of. I can't wait to see how the course plays next month when they have PGA Tour Q-School. Just an outstanding place to play golf that never disappoints. You can tell that there is less staff working there now, but this is one of the few courses that haven't compromised service and quality because of our poor economy. A MUST PLAY!
I play at East Valley Golf Club frequently, and I feel that this is the best public golf facility in Southern California. The golf course is always in great condition, especially the Champions. Their service is great from the time you set foot on property until you leave. I cannot say enough good things about this place... I wish I lived closer so I could buy a membership there. Keep up the great work guys!
Great changes to the golf course and clubhouse. I went in with very high expectation from reading the previous posts. The course is much better than it was in the past. Even with all the money the tribe has, they are not immune to the summer heat. There were quite a few bare an thin spots around the course. I loved the clubhouse and the waterfall was pretty cool. Overall, a nice place.
Played on Wednesday, August 20th. I love the user friendliness of the track and usually play it when I need a confidence booster to my game. It is a straight forward layout with not much excitement, but allows for low scores. The greens were very soft, a little bumpy and little slow. Overall, the course condition is what I would expect for the $35 green fee. When I was there, some of the staff was in a panic, as they supposedly sold the course the day I was there. I don't know if there is any truth to that, or if they were over-reacting, but it made the service rather lackluster... Not a bad track, maybe a new owner will put money into the place and improve it...

I love the renovations to the golf course overall. The course is much more user friendly since the work has been done, but the condition is average at best. The fairways were really wet, the greens were average to slow, very soft and usually true except for the bumps. Only had two opportunities to get beverages on a hot day, so we were thirsty. The service wasn't very good, and they made it seem like it was a privilege for me to play there. I will probably be back in the future, but it would sure be nice for them to make some improvements to the course condition and service.
Played the Champions course yesterday. The course is outstanding. The greens are perfect and the fairways are nice and lush. I will go on record and say that this is quite possibly the best conditioned public golf course in Southern California. As I have mentioned earlier, I love everything about the facility.
I absolutely love this golf course and it never disappoints. The Legends course is a little more scenic and always a treat to play. One of my buddies lives on the Legends course, so we always get to see it when we are having BBQ's on his patio. I play here quite frequently and this is the best the golf course has been in a long time. The greens are absolutely perfect! The bunkers play a lot better than they have in the past. It looks like the new management is really paying attention to the details, especially when many other courses are in terrible condition. The staff is outstanding and always accomodating to us. It is great that they continue to treat their loyal employees well. A must play! Hit em' straight.

I like the layout of the golf course, but it wasn't in good condition. The fairways were inconsistent and had severe divot damage. Their staff was non-accomodating overall. I hope that they can resolve their issues as it is a nice venue otherwise.
