One of the most challenging course in the bay area. It is a great warm up rounds if you are headed to Pebble/Spyglass/Poppy. Did not get to play the Lake 9holes. Did not get photos of Canyon #2, but that is a scary par 4, downhill drive and tight approach. Very picturesque with conditions at a very high level.

Finished 18 in less than 3 hours walking. Course conditions were firm but greens still held the shots well for a links layout. Putts rolled med-fast and smooth. Bunkers were gravelly. I suggest taking an older/beatup wedge to this course as the turf has metal gashing stones in it. I loved the wide open feel of the layout and the back side was much more interesting.

Amazing course. I liked the wider fairways on Canyon Crest nine as it was the first nine I played--gave me some time to warm up to the tight ones on the next nine. By the time I got to the Creekside nine I was feeling pretty confident with a birdie on the 10th. Then a run of 8 straight tough/difficult holes that were relentless followed. The final hole on this day was a nice relief as it gave you a wide fairway to aim for and was a shortish par 5-my mates hit short-mid irons in for their second shots. Greens were near perfect. I can imagine they could get much faster if they choose to. I felt they were a very fair speed and read very true. I will look forward to a return and try the Ridgeline nine in the future.

Played this course Friday the 28th of May after a light rain on Wednesday. Course seemed to drain well but the greens were not cut and were shaggy at best. The previous time I played here the over quality of the experience was much higher and could justify the premium fees ($75 weekday/Friday)...this round, however was NOT. When I compare playing Indian Valley a week earlier, paying less than half and having near perfect conditions, I doubt if I will return to Hiddenbrooke for a while. Shop/check-in person was rude and was just interested in getting our $75 and did not even want to give me a discount that I could show on my email (cel)...it had to be printed out, no exceptions...Would have saved $10 and shut me up from complaining about the bad experience.

Got out at 3:30pm for $40 after a city am was played there in the AM. Greens were really fast and trickier than normal. Very much surprised at the conditions and would highly recommend this course for those who have been putting off playing it.

The nines got switched on me...now you start off toward the airport and finish on the old front. Greens were slower than at this time of year last time I played. Overall a fine operation and good course.

It had been some 18 years since I had played this course and the main change has been the trees have grown in and have made the course much tougher to play. The length seems to have been shortened here and there but this is quite a challenging and very scenic layout. Before it was just punishing and long. I will want to return now yearly to enjoy it without such long break.

WOW! what a fresh take on golf. They have really made discovering new courses a thrill again. I make every trip to LA work around a round at this course. I always seem to get on without much waiting around and the caliber golfer here is much higher that the munis.

Greens are like the best of the country clubs...unlike any open to the public I have played in the bay area. Course overall was in near perfect condition.

Top notch & class act all the way thru from greeting at bag drop to final putt, I really felt like this was a special day. I even went to the 18th on the old course to get a view of what was to be seen for next time out here. Visually, the Ocean course is stunning links layout with a great mix of shot and long par 3's & 4's. I really did use every club in my bag and had birdies to doubles to post. Course conditions were great and I would expect it to improve at the weather gets better. My favorite holes were the 16th and 17th.

This is one my of my favorite new courses. I played it on Sunday 22nd just before the greens were getting plugged. Great layout and really keeps you challenged right to the end. Breaking 80 here is a real reward for a ten index.
