Beautiful course but the fairway is in terrible condition. The grass is so thin that you can see the dirt. At the beginning of our round the marshall told us we could not take our cart out on three holes. We could not take them out on the par 3's either. So now we are talking about 7 holes. The cart signs (which are rocks) that tell you that you can not take your carts closer to the greens were sometimes 50 yards from the greens. The greens are fair but for the price that I paid I expected them to be in perfect shape. I have played courses for under $30.00 that were in much better shape. This is a very good course for women as I was able to par 5 of the holes and shot in the 80's. I am not planning to go back until their course is in excellent condition. The practice area is wonderful. Ths staff was very friendly and helpful. I told one of the marshalls that the fairways were horrible and he agreed.

Course was in o.k. shape. Lots of bare spots. The sand was very wet and compact even though it has not rained. Had to chip out because it was so hard. The price is reasonable for the course, so will go back and play again. Played in under 5 hours.

Responding to xxx week on starting times. I also have the same problem. I have gotten thru the pro shop by 6:01, 7 days advance and have been given as late as 11:00. I always ask if there is a tournament and usually it is no. The starter will not explain why I have such a late starting time when getting thru within 1 or 2 minutes. Obviously, they have buddies that are getting the good starting times. When is someone in management going to do something about this.

Course is in horrible shape. It is almost impossible to find your ball if you are off of the fairway. Lots and lots of water everywhere because it does not drain well. They are letting carts on the course which is causing more of a mess and damage. I did find out that my shoes are waterproof as I sloshed thru 18 holes.

There are only 10 holes open. All of the other holes are flooded. They charge 9 hole rates. The holes that are playable are in good condition. As a senior I was charged $12.00 and was able to play as many holes as I wanted.

Greens are really bumpy and slow. The sand traps are dirt. Fivesome in front of us was over a hole behind and I never saw a marshall.

This is a correction on my last feedback. I was able to get in at 6:00 a.m. for a starting time at 9:00 a.m. and got 10:22. As I stated before there was no tournament and I had to be the first to call in so at the latest my tee time should have been well before 9:30. I hope that someone with authority will see this and do away with the starters buddies being signed up first.

Course needs a lot of work. Also the starters must have buddies that they sign up before the public. I got in at 9.:00 on a Friday and got a 10:22 starting time. I asked if there was a tournament and he said no. They take one on the phone and 2 at the window. I should have been the first phone call. I checked their clock against mine and they are the same. I have no problem with this system but let it be fair for everyone.

Sandtraps are dirt. Cannot blast out. The fairways need watering as they were thin in a lot of areas and not a lot of green grass. Usually course is in very good condition. Played 6 weeks ago and it was in a lot better shape. I pay senior rates so I will play there because of the price.

Greens had been aerated on Monday which is why the greens were so bad. In a couple of weeks they should be in good condition and would be worth the price. The starters are always very nice. The worst thing about Lakewood is that they are usually late in getting you off and it takes 5 to 51/2 hours to play.

Once again it took 5 1/2 hours to play a round. They did let us off almost on time. We have had to wait as much as an hour after our starting time and it is usally over 30 minutes. The rough was horrible. Everyone was complaining that they were having problems finding their ball which might have contributed to the 51/2 hours it took to play. You can loose the ball right off of the fairway.
Between the slow play and the rough our foursome was glad the day was over. This was NOT a fun day.

This is the slowest course I've ever played. DO SOMETHING TO HELP IT
