Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!I played all 3 Wailea courses twice over the space of ten days. All 3 are beautiful and have views of the ocean from most holes. That said, this course had the most beautiful holes on it. Gold was more challenging with the bunkering. Blue was the most forgiving off the tee. You can't go wrong playing here. The price is hefty - but you can't play golf in Maui cheaply anyway.
Played here half a dozen times. Solid course with good bunkering, and good but not spectacular greens. Holes 7,8 & 9 are all challenging with the 9th particularly so. Tends to be breezy in the afternoon typical of Northern Nevada during warmer weather.
Played here early April 2012.
Things I like about this course: tees, fairways and greens all in great shape. Easy to find wayward balls off the fairways as the rough is short and the desert areas are cleaned up.
Things I didn't like: most holes are pretty flat- only 3 or 4 holes have any elevation changes and most of the others are have little character in this way. Practice range was in terrible shape and I did t see anywhere to practice chipping or for bunker play.

Things I like about this course: price is very reasonable for this quality of the tract.
Open fairways with alot of trees to get stuck behind. Nice views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Fairways are in good shape typically. Greens are never slow.
Things I don't like: pace of play is an issue on weekends even if there are marshals (and frequently there aren't) - I've had 5 1/2 hour rounds out here often. Bunkers are dirt, not sand. Frequently windy with most summer afternoons fighting a 10-20mph headwind on 7 holes. Blue tee box on 4 isn't level. Blue tee box on 11 is so hard you can barely get a tee in it. Need forward tees closer - most women struggle with anything over 5000 yards.
