Have not played this course since 1996, needless to say the course has matured quite a bit. The fairways were plush, greens were like velvet and the rough was about 3-5 inches and playable. I was in the fairway off my drives all day, which brought about decisons on how to play second shots. I played with friends who have played the course a lot and told me to lay up on certain shots. I of course decided to go for it and if you do, there is trouble awaiting you. Course management is of the upmost while playing this course. The one thing I loved about Hunter Ranch is no homes on the course, just beautiful green rolling hills and blue skies. There was no wind and when the wind comes up this course becomes a tuff one to play. The only other thing I would mention was the tee boxes were a little unkept and they have two par 5's back to back, have never played a course with two par 5's back to back. Otherwise a great golf experience!
