The course has the best conditions that I have seen this year. I played about 100 rounds per year on most courses around the So Cal areas. There were very few bare spots on the fairway. The rough were clean with few weeds. The tee boxes and the greens were very good. The greens were have very little rough spots and was just fast enough for a good experience. Most of the holes have forced carries and makes the play rather challenging, especially from the back tees. The course was a little far for us, but the good experiences really made the trip worthwhile.
Played this course for the 1st time today. I find this a fun course. It has a little of everything; water, sand, trees, small streams, uneven lies, uphill and downhill shots, etc. The tee boxes and fairways were lush with very few bare spots. The greens are a little too soft, thus a little slow to my liking, but it rolls fairly true and not bumpy. The only real improvement should be the bunkers. They could use a lot more good sand. Even though I did not score well. I really enjoyed my round
Played this course for the 1st time on 11/10/2008. Weather was almost perfect, blue sky, no wind and temperature in the low 70's. Course was just open in Dec 2007. The tee boxes and fairway were excellent with almost no bare spots. The greens were a little inconsistent and slower than it should be, may be becuase they were not rolled or cut. New grass were still growing. The fairway grass were such that I can hit my fairways clubs very consistently. There were sufficiently water and sand hazards to make the course fun to play. We had a great time and definitely return
Played this course for the first time on 9/11/2008. I was very impressed with the condition of the course. The tee boxes and fairways were in excellent conditions. I have never hit my fairway woods so well. The greens were hard and fast. You really have to plan your approach shots well; otherwise, the shots will roll off the sides or the back. It was really a fun course. I was fortunate that the weather was not real hot for September. The best thing is that, for such a nice course, the green fee was very reasonable.
Played the course 4/4/2008. The course is in excellent shape. The fairways are well prepared. The greens are good except it is a little slow for my liking. It is set at a very open area along the Santa Ana River. The price is best value that I can find in the So Cal area. My only complain would the bunkers. They have virtually no sand and lots little pebbles that can damage your club
It has been several months since the last time I played this course. The course is in fairly good shape. The tee boxes and fairways are in decent shape, just a few bare spots. The greens are a little slower than normal. Except for a few divots, they roll fairly well. This is a fun, but short course. The back nine requires some delicate course management to achieve a good score.
Played this course for the first time after many tries and were not able to get good tee time. The course was as good as what I heard from my friends. The fairways and tee boxes were very good. On many holes, you have to be familiar with how the ball would roll. The GPS were great. It give some tips on how to play the hole. The greens rolls real nice, but were very hard to read even you know the balls will roll towards the ocean. My only regret is that the marine layer blocked much of the ocean. I really did not get to appreciate the beauty of this course. You cannot beat the price. Any place else this course would cost 5 times more.
This golf course has to be the best for the $$ that I paid for a round of golf. Even though the temperature was in the 80s at 7:30am. It wasn't really that bad at 11:30am when I finished the round. The price also included lunch. The course was immaculate, comparable to those that cost 3 to 4 times more elsewhere. It is on a desert canyon setting, with some breath taking views of the Colorado River and the Laughlin casinos. The course has all the typical desert canyon type holes and several holes with water. For the big hitters, there are several holes that provided risk/reward challenges. The fairway and tee boxes were excellent. The carts have GPS and a small cold air blower that help to cool the hot air. My only complain would the greens. Even though they provided the typical putting challenges, they were a little slow for my likings. All in all, I really enjoyed the golf course
I just played this course for the 2nd time in the last 3 weeks. The course is in the best shape that I have seen for a long time. The fairways are lush with very few bare spots. The greens are in the best of shape. Except for some unrepaired ball marks, they roll well and are relatively fast. My only complaint would be the bunkers. Many of the bunkers are filled with new sand, which are soft and fluffy. However, many still have the hard dirt, which make them very inconsistent
The recent rain really helped the fairways on the course. There are a lot less bare spots. However, it did not help the greens at all. The grass on the greens were long and made them extremely slow and bumpy. It still is in the best shape that I have seen in months

This is the first time that I played this course. I was very impressed with the quality of the maintenance and speed and difficulties of the greens. I enjoyed the experience very much
Played our weekly senior golf tournament. Weather was excellent. Temperature in the mid-80's. The fairways and tee boxes were in very good conditions, even though there were patch of brown and bare areas. Rough are in fair condition. The greens were a little slower than normal, but still in great shape. The bunkers were wet, relatively hard and not consistent.
