Got a hot deal on golfnow for $22.50 with a cart with a tee time at 12:45. Played as a 3 ball in about 3hr 40min. The course was empty to my surprise. Overall the course is in very good shape, everything very green. Tee boxes are lush, fairways were excellent lush kikuyu and the greens were good. The greens were soft and receptive but were not very true rolling and rolled pretty slow compared to my last round at river ridge with 11 stimped greens. For the price I would play this course again.

Played this morning 7/16 for $20 as a part of their 18-29 year old walking rate in just under 4 hours. The course was in great shape with the bermuda fairways providing a great surface to hit from. All the other aspects of the course were in fantastic shape. These are some of the best greens that I have putted as they were cut and rolled for the junior tournament later in the day. The sign in the shop said they were rolling at 11 and I believe it however they were so smooth and true. I will have to drive out and play the vineyard course soon.

Got a hot deal on Golfnow for $24 with cart for a 7:08 time this morning. This is the first time I have played here and drove over an hour because of this discounted rate. Played as a 3 ball behind a 4 ball that was really struggling out there and therefore held up our pace quite a bit. Still finished in about 4 hours. This does try to play as a links course where the tees, fairways, and collars around the greens are all cut to the same height. Everything was immaculate except for the greens. The tees and fairways were cut tight and extremely lush. The ball doesn't really sit up in the fairways but allows a great hitting surface to really compress the ball and get some spin. The regular rough was very lush and consistent throughout the course. Once you get into the native areas you can get some dirt lies or simply not find the ball as these areas are not maintained which is the design of the course. The greens were slower than they looked and that I expected. They were also very receptive and showed it with all of the pitch marks. Granted the pitch marks were somewhat repaired (not very well with dirt marks all over) they still detracted from the quality of the greens. The bunkers were perfect with what seemed to be beach sand which provided a great surface to hit from. They are getting ready for the Ventura City Championship next weekend and is seems like this course is going to play plenty tough for it. Get out and play it soon!!!

Played this morning for $42 walking. Got a local hotel discount since I am not a resident of santa barbara, so this saved about $10. This is a short course from the tips (6000 yds) but plays longer due to the elevation change. There are many holes that you are hitting uphill to the greens. The tee boxes were lush and pretty level. Only the 2nd hole had a severely domed tee box. The fairways were lush kikuyu and the rough was lush rye/kikuyu. The greens ran very smooth and somewhat firm. They were a mixture of bent/poa. The bunkers were in great shape with excellent sand. Would play again if I come back to santa barbara. Well worth the greens fee.

Was first one off this morning walking for $50. This is the 3rd time I have played here and wanted to come back before it may close. This is one of the finest courses in all of southern California for conditions, value, and layout. I played the back tees and found much success taking my medicine on some holes and playing to the wide part of the fairway even if that mean't not taking driver on any par 5 and therefore not having a chance to hitting the green in 2. The course was designed to play a certain way and if you try to overpower it with driver you are bound to make some very big numbers. The tee boxes were all lush and level for the most part. The fairways were like carpet and provided fantastic lies all day. The rough was lush as well but was cut shorter than I remember. Didn't really have a very nasty lie in the rough all day. The bunkers had plenty of fluffy sand and raked well. The greens were the best part of the course!!! The best poa greens I have ever played on, so very smooth and quick. I would come back more often if I didn't live 2.5 hours away.

Played 36 for $68 ($39 first 18, $29 replay) on Monday 4/8. Such a great deal for this course. The tees are cut tight and like carpet, the fairways the same. The rough was very thick and long around the greens but a little shorter along the fairways. The greens were running great, fairly smooth and quick. I suppose they just aerated 3 weeks ago and they look to have recovered fantastically. I can't wait to come back when they are normal. Played 36 holes in 9 hours so an average of 4.5 hours per 18. The first 18 was a 4 hour round and the second 18 was a 5 hour round with two tournaments going out in between so it was expected. I will definitely come back soon.

Tee'd off around 7AM this morning as a twosome. POP was right at 4 hours with a couple 4-some in front of us. Overall the course was in decent shape. A couple of the tee boxes were being top dressed, the fairways were in decent shape. The rough was long in places and short in others. The greens were fairly bumpy but pretty quick. For $39 riding it met expectations.

First off, customer service in the pro shop was fantastic! This course is challenging if you cannot drive your ball straight. There are many areas off the fairways that you can lose the ball due to laterals and OB. Overall the course was in good shape with the greens running smoothly. Would come back the next time I am in Sacramento.

Played in a college match on 2/23. Overall the course is in good shape with the best part being the greens. They were tough if you were above the hole. I would probably come back more often if I didn't live so far.

The tee boxes are lush, the fairways are lush, the bunkers have little sand, and the greens were quick down grain but a little bumpy. I would play this course again for the price I got.

The fairways look like they are bordering on dead, but are definitely dormant. It does not make sense to have bermuda fairways when you don't overseed. This makes for some thin and tight lies and the ball runs forever. The greens are smooth and quick but are about to be aerated, so much for that. This course is not worth the greens fee by a longshot, maybe if they cut their price in half, maybe it would be worth it.

Got out early this morning and finished in 4 hours. Course in typical muni shape. Greens had a lot of pitch mark damage, rough is not thick at all, fairways had thin spots, and tees were above average. They have a good deal right now before 8AM monday-thursday for $26 with cart.
