Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii! What a course! Was in Orlando for business and had a opportunity to play this fantastic course. It has 45 holes of Nicklaus golf. 3 nine hole courses N/S/E and a the “new” course which is 18. It’s a tribute to St. Andrews and does a great job at replicating it, even in the Florida marshlands.
From tee to green the conditions were amazing. Manicured level tee boxes, lush fairways and sand traps that were punishing and deep. I think I overheard the Marshall say there’s 155+ bunkers on the course lol. The wind picked up later in the day and made you really work for it. Even though the fairways were wide open, as expected, you had to nail the approach shot or you were putting through crazy undulations or false fronts etc. Another interesting thing I have never seen is the shared greens. It’s shared greens for 14 of the holes with a white and yellow flag on either side. Yellow going out and White coming home. Really a cool touch as I have never played over in Scotland or Ireland. Rate was decent as well given the location to Disney. Will definitely make this a must play when in Florida.

Played this morning 5/20 at 8:10am. Pace of play was grey and walked off the 18th green at 12:05, so just under 4hrs which was great. Course is in awesome shape right now and it's the best I have seen the greens and fairways. But like Bogey said, the sand traps are horrendous right now, with minimal sand and a lot of "concrete" like bunkers. Other than that the course is fantastic and playing really good. Greens were holding approach shots and wedges very nicely and rolling smooth and true on putts.
Big difference since I last played here was that they have flipped the course. You finish the round with the old number 9 par 5 down the lake with a hard second shot if your gutsy enough to go for it!

Course is in great shape as previously mentioned. Fairways and tee boxes are green and cut very nice. Greens were like concrete and rolled smooth....but off the charts fast. Approach shots didn't hold for anything. Course is very nice today minus the 7hr round. Yes you heard me correctly. Tee'd off at 12:45PM and walked off the 18th green at 7:45PM. Only saw the marshal maybe 3 times (what a joke). three five somes in front of us and a four some. On the 4th tee box there were 5 groups behind us waiting. My suggestion....STOP SENDING OUT 5 some groups. Your ruining it for the rest of us out there, especially on a a nice course right now.

Played here yesterday (Sunday Jun 24th) with three other buddies, one who is the member there. The summer heat has really taken its toll on the greens. Some were so burned that there was bare dirt showing. Really displeased with the course and conditions here, especially for a course that cost $70 to the general public. The fairways were the best part of the course and still marginal at best. Greens that were ok were super slow....maybe 6-7 on the speed at best and never improved through out the round. We played the South / North course as the West was closed for the day. The layout is fun if the course was in a better shape. Built in a ravine with lots of elevation changes and approach shots that are tough and interesting. All in all I give it a 4/10 as far as overall. Maybe after late summer punching and seeding the course will be 10X better.
I know the summer sun in the desert takes it toll.....but the course where we were staying (Shadow Ridge) was in excellent shape and gets more sun that the other course.
