Came out here after reading reviews about this place and how poorly it had been maintained. Well needless to say i was more than pleasantly surprised to find a great little course with pretty great conditions.

Tee boxes were all nice, a bit muddy in places but that can be expected with this weather. The fairways were a tad bit longer than im used to but it wasnt a bad thing, to be honest i only noticed it because i was looking for it due to the harsh reviews.

The greens were a bit slow, but not a lot of ball marks and the best part is they were pretty consistent across all 18.

Truly the best part about this course is the staff... all those guys are pretty cool.

All in all, in its current state, the course was a fun, not terribly challenging, little track. Also, i should mention i got a tee time online, it 50 w/ cart... at THAT rate the course was well worth it and ill definitely be out here again!

I should start by saying that I am a 5.4 HC, so take this review with that in mind.

I played here out of complete curiosity after a friend told me it was the most unfair golf course he had ever played because 90% of the shots required a draw. Well, i wouldnt call it unfair, but he was right about a lot of the holes setting up for a draw...

It feels like the "river" that runs through the course is always on the your right off the tee box... seeing as how its ideal to shape your shot away from the hazard.... most tee shots call for a draw.

The tee boxes were typical for a muni... the fairways were ok, a bit wet and muddy and cut pretty tight. The greens were... well there are better greens in the OC area.

The best part about the round was the hotdog at the turn, cheap and pretty d%mn good...

im a bit of a course snob as ive played most of the nicer courses in the area (monarch, pelican, Oak creek, Tustin ranch, and a couple CCs) so its safe to say i will not be returning to this course. Once is enough to convince me you get what you pay for.

I played this course on Saturday 11/12/10 as part of a 2 day golf trip which included this course and Monarch Dunes. I should state im a 5hc, so this review should be taken with that in mind.

Proshop: small, like really small... the proshop, bar and foodshack were all actually in the same building...err, a better word is room, they were all in the same room.

driving range: pretty good, balls were "floater" golf balls because of a small lake/ big puddle... so dont be surprised if they dont fly as far as the ball u normally play.

practice green: well kept, rolls true and pretty close to the speed of the greens on the course.

the Course.. the lay out is fun, nothing to exciting or challenging... pretty straight forward type of course where what you see ahead of you is exactly what you get. No gimmick holes, which i think is great. The greens are pretty consistent across the course, the fairways are nice, not thin or anything... though they had just been plugged so there were lots of dirt plugs everywhere.

this is definitely a course worth playing at least once... its fair and fun and straight forward... great course as far as scoring opportunities go. Also, 7 is blast, easily reachable with the driver from the tips so Eagle is a real chance, birdie is a must.

no real complaints... but nothing too fancy.
