Played today on their May e-mail special. The greens were in fantastic shape, very fast but held the iron shots. Play was a bit slow but the course is in great shape. I'm just trying to figure out why its been a year since I've played here. Playing here again on Sunday.

it had been a while since I'd played here because of the poor conditions. I'm pleased to say it's in good shape now. Walked with a 2for 1 coupon from the specials section, $18.00 great deal Tight course that requires smart shot selection. Friendly staff and a good restraunt if you want a good meal before or after your round. One quick note they aerated the last four holes on each nine today, very small holes, lightly sanded should be okay in a few days. Kudos to the maintinence staff for bringing this course back.

Ihad the oppurtnity to play her 5/10 Walked into the pro shop at 11:15 and they had us out at 11:45. Had the course to ourselves, played in a little over 3 hours even played 2 balls on some holes. Course conditions were outstanding, nice fairways, rough about 2 to 3 inches making it easy to find your ball but deep enough to penalize you for being in it, greens were fast and smooth, the bunkers I was in were damp but well groomed. The only down side was all the construction along the course. The wind really kicked up about the time we got to #6 making the next 8 holes play much longer than the yardage. I did like the way the holes were layed out so as not to have any holes with a bad cross wind. All said I'll play this course again when I can

I had the pleasure of playing this wonderful course today and had a great time. The staff was outstanding from the begining, range balls included in the greens fee, and the driving range was in top shape. I purchased the yardage book at the pro shop and would recommend anyone playing the course fot the first time to spend the 5 bucks for one as it was very useful. the course was in outstanding condition althouth the greens were slower than what I had expected. most holes have generous landing areas off the tee and give you many options on how you play the hole. It is hitting into the greens that the course design excells, hit good shots you'll be rewarded with good chances at birdie or an easy par. Miss the green and you might be facing a tough up and down. Hit the wrong part of the green and a 3 putt is might be your fate. Pace of play was good, I just wish this course was a little closer to home. Overall its an enjoyable test of golf that I'll play as often as I can.

Played here for the first time 9/3 and enjoyed the course. I liked the variety of the course, some holes fairly flat and some very hilly. The greens were fast but held iron shots. some of the best bunkers I have seen in a while with nice soft fluffy sand.

This new course is a must play. Beautiful views from nearly every tee, challanging layout, and great customer service typical of a J.C. Resorts course. My only complaint would be that there's no course layout on the scorecard or tee boxes. I was told that this will soon be taken care of. Play was alittle slow but I expected that as most people are playing the course for the first time. The tees, fairways, and the rough were in fantastic shape. The greens were fast and smooth although there were many ball marks that weren't fixed, come on people it takes 10 seconds to fix a ball mark. I'll be playing here on a regular basis.

I had the pleasure of playing this just opened course today and enjoyed the experience. Can't beat the $40.00 weekend twilight price after 1 p.m. Don't expect a lot of bells and whistles [the pro shop is a small trailer] but you get a very large bucket of balls for five bucks and a nice range with grass tees, the putting green isn't open yet but should be shortly. I played the blues which go 6115 with a slope of 126. the front nine is pretty open with native grasses bordering most of the holes. there is a bit of wind in the afternoons but not more than 1club more or less. Water comes into play on several holes some of which you don't see until after you've hit and are approaching your ball.
the sand in the bunkers is very deep and fluffy, the rough short, with greens that hold shots, are medium fast and roll very smooth and true. the course changes on the back as you wind through oak lined fairways that put a premium on accuracy over distance. I'm glad to see a nice course with good rates open just up the hill from Escondido.

I had stopped playing this course because of the poor conditions. Im glad I decided to give it another try, because the new owner has gotten the course back in good shape. Some of the tee boxes were alittle uneven but the fairways and greens are in the best shape I've ever seen them in. There are some great risk reward holes And the twi-light rate can't be beat.

played yesterday. nice course but what happened to the rough? Pace of play was very slow due toa foursome a few groups in front of us. Atone point there were 3 holes open in front of them. Is there ever a marshall on the course I've played here twice and have yet to see one. Even so anice course, be sure to try the casino buffet after your round
