This course is local to me and it's definitely coming along. It's 'rough around the edges' but plays like a true links course - the course guide is an absolute must to figure out where the burns/bunkers are because in most cases you cannot see them from where you are hitting. I just wish they would clean up the non-course areas around the course as well. Practice area is best in the region too, can hit off the grass for a great price. Watch out for errant slices from the first teebox though!
