this course is an unbelievable value, esp. for San Jose because the conditions are top notch, literally as good as all of the top end courses in the area. The greens have always been smooth and fast (and you can hold them) and the fairways rough and tee boxes are very good too. The pace will be slow but that is the downside to the great value (everyone wants to come play there). The actual course is solid but not spectacular, but it is very fair and isn't too easy. The back nine will test you more, especially if it gets windy. I wish they could have put some of the lakes on the par-3 course onto the front nine as it is a little bit too wide open. Overall, this is a great course, especially for locals who don't want to spend a lot of money to play golf

a great course, it should be good for golfers of all handicaps. The front nine has medium difficulty, and sets you up for the difficult back 9, esp. holes 11-14. The entire course is excellent, and is always in excellent shape. The practice range is the best I have seen; there is always lush grass on the range, and there are 5 total practice greens around the course along with 3 70 yard holes next to the range, which are super fun to play. The value is great, it is in a beautiful, home-free location, and, despite playing or practicing at this course over 100 times, I have never seen it in anything approaching bad shape. The worst I have seen it is when the fairways get slightly brown, which is not a problem at all. The only thing I don't like is the weak finishing hole. But it's a great course to play anytime.

a beautiful course tucked in the Hollister foothills, it is in great shape and is also a great course that is wide open off the tees but tightens up around the greens. Play it if you get the chance

the course is in absolutely perfect condition except the greens are way too hard and are very difficult to hit, and when you combine it with the severe contours, are nearly impossible to chip to in many places. However, the fairways are perfect, the greens are smooth and fast, and everything else is immaculate as well. The course gives you stunning views on most holes, and, especially on the Canyon Nine, has beautiful holes throughout. However, it has 3-4 extremely difficult, near impossible holes when windy (2,8 Lake, 3 Mountain, 8 Canyon and makes it a grind to play when combined with other difficult holes. If you can afford it, play it in the morning, as it will be much more enjoyable. The best hole is 9 on Canyon, which is an epic finisher that plays down to the clubhouse

great course, one of the best and most underrated in California; greens sometimes are slow but are always smooth, but that is the only complaint, as it is in otherwise perfect condition and the course is awesome and is extremely tough but fair, even when it is windy

very good course, usually in excellent condition. very difficult, with many unfair pin placements, and OB in the form of bushes next to many holes, but still worth playing, as it is one of the most beautiful courses I have seen, even with the houses. Take a lot of golf balls, but come and play it
