Although I have played this course for over 30 years, I hadn't played it in about a decade. What a pleasant surprise. The layout is flat and uninteresting, but the conditions were beyond anything I had experienced here. Except for one hole with a relatively dead fairway, they were smooth. The rough was short and consistent.
The biggest improvement was around the greens, formerly Alondra Parks' worst feature. They were smooth and reasonable fast. The sand in the bunkers was ideal.
I would definitely return for the conditions.

Played on Saturday, June 22. Greens are filling in and very slow while they do. When they get rid of the fungus and cut the greens, this will be a very enjoyable and challenging course. Greens are gigantic.

Teed off 1/2 hour late. Apparently, that's typical. It took 6+ hours, 3 hours on the front; about the same on the back. It never 'opens up.' The staff is clueless. Counter service is slow. The marshals are polite but they don't speed things along. No cart girl although she was supposed to be out there. Driving net is a poor excuse for a driving range. Nice layout; bad golf experience.

Played two days in a row. Except for the 5 1/2 hour rounds, it's a great place to golf. The fairways are country club quality. The greens were in excellent condition and rolled true. They could be a little bit faster, which would make for an outstanding golf experience.

Even when this course was a dump, the greens were pretty good. Now the greens are pockmarked with unrepaired ball marks. It was a very disappointing experience.
