Went out as a twosome on Saturday morning. We got just enough break from the rain to squeeze in a round. Despite the heavy rain during the early morning hours, the fairway was in fair condition and was not overly saturated. The greens were very fast and soft. The sand was hard and very difficult to play from. Some of the tee boxes were very bare and was hard to find a decent patch to tee off. We got stuck behind a slow foursome but they were nice enough to let us play through before the back 9. Finished the round in 4 hours, which is probably the best you can do on a Saturday morning at Hansen. It's definitely one of the better muni courses in LA. I was happy to get my golf fix before the crazy rain on Sunday.

Played on Thursday, 1/13, around 1pm. I usually play early in the morning to avoid slow play but had the afternoon off so decided to try it out. Enjoyed playing under the sun for a change and without getting my pants all wet due to the morning dew. The fairway conditions were pretty good. The sand traps are still pretty hard and too many ball marks on the green. This course is always filled with beginners and can take a while to finish if you're unlucky. Still can't beat 14.50 for 2.5 hours of golf on a sunny socal afternoon.

Played on Saturday 1/8. Went out around 7 and took about 4.5 hours. Several portions of the fairway was overly muddy and the tee boxes were patchy at best. The greens were surprisingly in decent condition compared to the fairway and the sand traps were in fair condition, appearing to have been raked recently.

Played Monday after X-Mas. I usually get on right away playing single on a Monday but had to wait 45 minutes to join a threesome. Too many golfers anxious to get out after the week long rain. The conditions were pretty good for a muni, especially for a LA city course. Some parts of the fairways were still too soft due to the rain but overall both the fairway and the greens were in good condition. Negatives: tooooo slow. Took me 5+ hours for a Monday morning round starting around 9:30 a.m. It didn't help that idiots behind our group kept hitting into us. Aside from the slowness and annoying golfers, it was nice.
