Staff goes out of their way to please. GPS system acted up throughout the round & was an irritation.
Had 9:57 tee time but driving range was closed as they were punching it so we teed off 30 minutes early. Why they were punching the driving range at 9:15 in the morning is beyond me & I was put off by the attitude of the starter....pretty much it is what is is. No I am sorry etc.
Course was in decent shape...not much grass in #11 fairway& a few bare spots elsewhere. I was in two traps...one was quite wet. The tee boxes were good as were the greens. They are putting a lot of water on the course. Challenging course that will only get better as it matures. Good deal for Seniors at $35 including cart.

What a beautiful course with fairways of rolling hills cut through a pine forest with occasional glimpses of the ocean. I played 5/11 - the course was a great shape & I found in a solid test of golf. Staff was cordial - I would pick this one over Pebble if I could only play one. The reciprocal agreement they have with SCGA makes for a $80 green fee, $95 with cart. Definitely a MUST play.

Played 5/9 10am & it was quite a thrill after watching the big boys play it on TV for 50 years. 450 green fee, 65 for caddy b4 the tip but to do it once was worth it. WInds and the length & difficulty of the rough made for a poor score but I felt was worth the price. Only disappointment was the sand traps. Sand was very compacted & some of the traps were more like dirt. Unfortunately I was in a bunch of them. I did find it odd I never saw a caddy repair a divot. I did play Poppy Hills two days later & acutally thought it was prettier and in better shape than Pebble & with the reciprocal deal with the SCGA it was a bargain.

Played 4/26 10:20am. Tees & fairways in good condition. Greens are difficult to read putting premium on approach shots. I was surprised to see the traps are still in poor condition....very hard...nearly more dirt/rocks than sand....no significant rain in quite some time....what's the story with that??? This makes the Champions much inferior to the Legends where the traps are much better. Both are real tests of golf, especially after midday when the wind starts to pick up.

Had 11:15 tee time & got off about 20 minutes late. Hole #1 closed due to a large sinkhole 25 yards short of the green. Looks like it will be 2-3 weeks before that is corrected. Instead of the par 5 1st hole you will play a 120 yard par 3 between the 11th & 12th hole. I was not informed of this situation when I made the tee time & they offered no reduction to the $65 SCGA Members weekend fee which made me a bit miffed. The tees, fairways, and greens were in very good condition. One of the very best courses in Southwestern Riverside County but a much better deal during the week...especially at the Senior Rate of $32.
Always a pleasure to play this course. Played 8/3, teed off a little after 10 & finished in just over 4 1/2 hrs from the blue tees. Greens and fairways in excellent condition & at $32 for Seniors the best bargain around Riverside county.

Decent value & condition. Teed off at 10:15 on Tuesday & pace of play was very good. Not a lot of folks on the course. Please take the d%mn trees out of the middle of the 16th fairway.
Great Bargain with Senior Rate of $32 for SCGA Members including cart. Though slight drizzle off & on this is the fastest i have seen these greens.
