I have been playing here for 20 years and this is by far the absolute worst shape this course has ever been in. Bare spots in all fairways, burnt out spots on tee boxes and dead spots on the greens. This used to be my home course. I now will avoid this course until I hear that the place has been improved.

I've been playing this course for 15 years. For the first 14 years this course was absolutely beautiful. Just in the last year it has turned into a goat farm. To start, the range is horrible. The range stations are full of divots and you can't hit off a clean lie. The range grass itself is completely burnt out. Nothing but dead grass and dirt.

I played there today. Tee boxes are not cut properly and full of old divots (par 3's). After teeing off on a Par 4 or 5, you hoped you landed on any green patch of grass. Most lies were on patched grass and exposed dirt, just terrible. Every single green was burnt to a large degree. Most greens were extremely bumpy and inconsistent due to the burnt turf. No. 1 green had the pin cut back left, about three feet from fringe. This green was burnt on the back third and this was the pin placement for today. The rest of the green was somewhat playable, but for some odd reason they put the pin on the worst part of the green. This was the case for most of the holes today.

I used to love playing here. Arnold Palmer design with rolling fairways, plenty of angles and you have to think your way around the course. But, this course has sunk to being nearly unplayable. In other words, the course is challenging enough without the horrible condition it is in. Unless I hear or see differently, I will no longer go to this course as it is no longer fun to play.

Excellent course!!!! Price was right. Course was challenging. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in excellent shape.

AVOID THIS COURSE AT ALL COSTS!!!! The course is set in the old Santa Ana river bed (dry). With the exception of #''s 1, 2, 9, 14 and 18, all the other 13 holes are exactly the same. . . . . All tee boxes and greens are on top of the river banks and all fairways are in the river bottom. We got tired of looking at the same thing hole after hole after hole. The greens were very, very lush to the point they were pumping (over-watered). With each step, you could feel the green move under your foot. I plugged at least 3 balls in the green. The GPS on the carts is nice, but GPS does not account for how far below the green you are while standing in the river bed fairway. Some greens were at least 60 feet above you with most being about 20-40 above. The staff was really nice. So, having said that, if you want to play, go take a look at the course and decide before you play. This course sucks!!!!
