For summer time in the Palm Springs area the course was in very good condition. The greens were a little slow. The staff was very helpful and we saw the food cart quite often. The groups were spread out enough that we only saw the group ahead of us a few times.

The course was in very good shape. It is a busy course so play was a little slower than I like, several times I had to wait to hit. It is a course with enough variety to make the round interesting.

California City is trying to run this course on a very limited budget and it shows. A very interesting layout and good greens but the fairways are very bad. It appears that the irrigation system does not cover the fairways completely.

The greens had been aerated recently so the greens were a little bumpy but very playable. The course was in excellent condition and the staff was friendly. A walkable course and an very good value.

Fairways were very good and greens were a good pace, fast but not too fast. A good course to walk.

The staff was very helpful and the Senior rate of $50.00 at age 55 is a good deal. The course was not in as good as shape as the last time we played. As usual the greens were difficult to read with lots of undulation. When I didn't look at a putt from all sides I paid for it. Pace of play was slow at first but picked up after 5 or 6 holes. There are no pictures of the holes on the scorecard so some tee-shots are hard to figure out. You might consider the Oak Valley course across the freeway as an alternative because we have never played it under poor conditions and it is about the same price.

This course has low green fees for walkers. The greens seemed uneven in growth. It looks like there are at least two types of grass on the greens. The greens are normally fair but today the pin locations were on slopes and some were near the edges of the greens. Looked like a tournament setup. Even so this course is always a pleasure to play and the weather was good.

They keep a lot of water on the course so it stays green. They are aerating the entire course the week of 8-28-06.

The course is very green. It is obvious that they are putting a lot of water on the course. There are a few places that are a little too wet and some bunkers have damp areas but this area of L.A. Co. is very hot and dry so the course does need a lot of water to stay green. Played at 2pm, walked and only paid $21

There is so much variety in this course. An excellent public course with a very good practice area. A good pace of play. The greens are a real challenge with difficult approach shots and a good deal of slope. They are also fast.

Played the course on 4-24-06. The greens had been aerated a few weeks earlier so were a little bumpy but not bad. First time playing the course and really enjoyed the layout. The back nine seemed more difficult than the front nine ( more opportunities to get into trouble). Be careful which tees you play. There was a big difference from the whites to the blues. We played the blues and several par 4 holes on the back nine we could not reach in two. We walked and used their push carts which are very good 3 wheel carts. I will definitely play this course again.

One of our favorite courses. Only play it a couple times per year but always in good shape. A good variety on course layout and excellent greens. We played on March 30th and had a little rain but still enjoyed the course. They are now giving free range balls with prime time tee-times(something they did years ago). Bunkers were in very good shape and firm.
