We played Indian Hills on 04-17-10 in praparation for an upcoming tournament. We thought that it was going to be an extremely easy course based on the scorecard's yardages but boy were we in for a surprise! A GREAT Surprise! We enjoyed the course very much and felt that we were outside of california! We did not expect the course to be that beautiful. Greens were perfect although a little slow and the fairways were lush and green! The layout although simple enough is a challenge and the tress will want you to keep your ball in the fairway. We liked the tiered greens and those really add to the already challenging course. Pay to ride as this course will be impossible to walk in my opinion. Staff were extremely nice and friendly another hint that will make you think that you're not in L.A. anymore!

I think Indian Hills will now be in our rotation of favorite courses to play. I'll just have to remember to bring a lot of extra balls!

Played here on 11-07-09 and was surprised at how green the fairways have become. The greens were great and still very difficult to read (as usual) but the improvement on the rough and fairways was a welcome surprise indeed!

They must have read the complaints about the tee's as they are having work done on all of them! I think in three weeks they'll be able to let us use the renovated tees! It looks a lot more level and there's heavy seeding going on.

It was my friend's first time to play the course and he liked how challenging the course was. It was also cool that they let twosomes like us play as twosomes and not have to squeeze into a group. Anyway, the starter was young and courteous, cartgilrs were nice, the people playing in front and back of us were cool and relaxed which made the day only better for everyone! This will probably be one of our constant destination.

Played Victoria before noon on 10-25-09 and was "OK" with what I found. Fairways will need some work but it wasn't too bad. Some areas were muddy wet and some spots were rockhard with grass trying to come out in patches. Rough were in the same "need TLC" condition but the course itself was fine. Layout was good, long and challenging .. very tough to get GIR in most par 4 holes. Play was fast paced and we managed to get out of there in less than 4.5 hours (4-some walking). Greens were nice and rolled wonderfully with almost no bumps! Speed was about medium fast. Nice course close to downtown LA, we'll be back!

Played Wilson at 10-22-09 and was surprised about how nice it was. Great location and scenery made me feel I was out of LA. Course was in great condition, I have no problems with the condition of the greens and fairways although the greens ran considerably slower than the extremely fast putting green which cost me 5 holes before finally getting adjusted to the slower speeds at the actual greens! Lost quite a number of balls which landed on the rough because the rough was longer than 4" in some areas. Other than that I think Wilson is a great place to play. No wonder this gets booked alot faster than any LA muni courses. It was also nice to some wild deers hanging out a few feet from us as we hit our shots!

I played this course for the fisrt time on 10-17-09 and feared about slow play and horrible conditions which I have been reading in here. I was extemely surprised to have experienced the exact opposite! Our 4some teed off at 7am and we were done by 11am. Greens were perfect and were at about medium to fast speed. Fairways were very nice and almost immaculate. The only thing I notice was that the some sand traps were a bit hard and seemed compacted which was probably brought on by the rains and then the sudden dry heat. some traps were ok though and I didn't see any gravel on them which people have complained about.. they probably fixed it?. Anyway, staff were very nice and courteous and our group enjoyed the course very much and it was worth the 60+ mile trip for us. We are planning on going back already! One of the best we've seen at this price range!

I played this couse's back nine last week and was expecting the worst because of all the bad reviews I found online and although I agree with the comments on the bunkers being filled with soil instead of sand and some areas being muddy, I have to say I was surprised to see how nice the course was. The greens were great and roled true and the undulations including the wild elevation change in some holes proved to be both interesting and challenging. I would give this course a 5.5 at least and will definitely play here again.
